It's very good it obliterates the mechanical bosses..
It's a 1/3 drop chance only on Expert, on Classic it's 1/6

Melee would be so much better off if armor specifically reduced incidental contact damage as a percentage. It's kind of dumb that just touching a boss should do as much damage as the boss attempting to deliberately hit you. It's possible to distinguish between the boss just moving around and intersecting the player which deals contact damage, and the boss actively triggering an attack animation that deals attacking damage. Melee would be so much better if you weren't actively punished for being inside your effective range.

It doesnt drop from a goblin summoner it drops from a Goblin Warlock
for early HM i usually go with a high defense/dodge build + attack speed with the Fetid Baghnakhs – usually shreds bosses and paired with the turtle armor and some buffs you can kill Plantera while standing in 1 spot
Ice Sickle is pretty insane early hard mode. Carried me through the mech bosses until I could get True Night's Edge

I think nimbus rod is the best weapon against destroyer
Hoping it gets an upgrade soon and gives it more power against light empress and also i did use this against queen slime and it was great because i killed both her and her minions

Used it against Plantera in master mode and beat her like 3rd try. This weapon is actually unbelievably good.
Honestly I always just stick with Nights Edge until I can make Excalibur.

I got this weapon in my most recent Terraria playthrough, and even though it was kind of a pain, it was 100% worthwhile. I absolutely adore this weapon and I'll be sure to make a point to get this on every melee run I do.

When I first played hard mode, I was doing a mage playthrough and this weapon basically carried me through the beginning of hard mode, until I got the Sky Fracture.

I'd say the Banana Boomerang is just as viable as it has a higher damage and can be used to thin out groups of enemies in one direction that can be swept from behind if you toss a few bananas over them. And it's easy to obtain since bloody tears can drop on blood moons prior to hard mode and can be used in hardmode to get the clown to spawn. But that's just my opinion playing my first expert mode.
If you take the average time players take to go from beating wall of flesh to mid hard mode. The zenith would be a early hardmode weapon for sweats

Currently I think the Bananarang is a better weapon to get, I at least like using it a lot more. But I think this video is from before they changed it to a singular item and made the drop more common.

My absolute favorite combo with this weapon is cursed flask frost armor the constant damage is incredible vs skeletron prime and twins
