Terraria’s ‘most powerful’ weapon may surprise you… Meowmere. Terraria’s endgame is in a weird place. Having the flagpole moved so many times, naturally means that some previous ‘kings’ get thrown off the throne. Today we take a look at statistically the most ‘powerful’ weapon in all of the Terraria, beating even the Zenith in raw power. However, as many of us know, power doesn’t mean best and its functionally lets it down big time compared to the Zenith. Enjoy!

You watch us get another 'god sword' in 1.5 replacing the Zenith 😂
The Zenith is cool and all, but I kinda resent it for making every endgame weapon obsolete. Why am I using a melee weapon for my endgame mage or summoner?
Before 1.4, I didn't know about the Star Wrath, but even if I did I would still use this badboy. Not only is it powerful and fun, but it also annoys friends!
Also, increasing crit chance often increases dps more than increasing damage (unless crit chance is already 100%)

Calling RBT a pre mech weapon is hilarious. Outside of Wisconsin levels of cheese or godlike reaction times, not many people outside of normal mode are getting Fishron drops premech. I've dumped a stupid amount of time into this game, and I don't see myself getting a premech Fishron kill without some serious cheese.
The meowmere has almost as much dps as the zenith and can take out moonlords top eye before it closes on a tank build with no arena or buffs.
Why the hell does Re logic love to buff the melee class ?

the fact that the nyan cat sword outdoes the ultimate weapon crafted from swords coming from every inch of the world in melee damage frustrates me to a level that i could not begin to describe

I was actually quite lucky when i defeated moonlord i managed to get both star fury and meowmere first try
I really think that the zenith, ar least with how powerful it currently is, was a bad addition to the game. It out dps' everything else by a lot despite being a melee weapon, the class that should have the least dps of the four.
The Meowmere was always dethroned though. Starwrath was generally the better weapon and had better dps.
with a specific melee speed build i managed to get higher dps with the meowmere than the zentih on 2 targets
I love the zenith it's such a nice way to combine your entire journey starting from the copper sword all the way to the moon lord drops it may be overpowered but by the time you get it you finished the game so it's whatever really
In contrast I hated the meowmere the Nyan cat meme was funny way back in the day but god that sword was annoying I always picked the starfurry instead haha

the cat projectiles are wild
I did try and fail moonlord with it. The gravity afected projectiles made it hard to aim.
I always wonder why the star wrath is never used compared to meowmere. It just functioned better and gave me higher DPS and being more fun and satisfying to use

I remember before Zenith came out that using this weapon on Solar pillar is a nightmare since there's a mob that reflects projectiles and getting hit by it gives the equivalent amount of damage the sword does
The meowmere isn't better than the Zenith, but is more important because you need the meowmere to craft the Zenith.
In my play throughs I like to get a zenith and meowmere and use the meow mere for most thing accept difficult bosses like day empress
I never used it, i only used the Solar eruption for close melee, Terrarian for mid range and daybreak for single Target dps.
Also the meowmere was just annoying to look at, its noise it makes, and its just overall a messy “Spammy” weapon.
And against the Solar Pillar, the Solarian can one shot you with it, if it deflects even one projectile at you.
Also against Waves on ground enemies it still doesn’t hold up against Solar Eruption, the projectiles doesn’t move that fast with my movement speed whenever im sweeping the floor, especially when im using Horizontal flight wings.
It ain’t that good on Air enemies, terrarian already gets the job done better and easier too
I've never made a zenith , don't care really and I'll probably put it on a item frame because it really is gross and no skill dev weaponry

Although the meowmere doesn’t beat the zenith, if you have a full damage load out, the meowmere deals 1000+ DMG while zenith deals somewhere like 800+
Edit: but being zenith as the endgame weapon, it may be the ridiculously best weapon in the game
i got both the meowmare AND the star wrath from my first moon lord. i do agree, it helped a lot with getting the other zenith pieces!!!
My go-to endgame weapon before zenith was the terrarian. I <3 yoyos.
Tbh an easy way to make the zenith more difficult would be to require the flying dragon. It would make the zenith harder to obtain while also giving an actual reason to grind the OOA
I use meow as a meme item along Zenith, saying "video games cause violence" then spamming the meowmere for a few seconds in an NPC's room💀
