    I remember starting on my iPad and i was only fighting the frost legion because I thought Santa was cool to have in my house those were the good days, defeating any boss with vampire knifes was the best

    Present type 1: Explosion on impact
    Present type 2: Bounces around
    Present type 3: Homes in with a helicopter top
    Present type 4: Latches onto enemies dealing damage with some black "Legs"
    Present type 5: 5 Christmas light pop out and shatters on impact like sharpnel

    I’ve always loved the Frost Legion, I don’t know why but it’s just a load of fun. But yeah, I can see why people would say it’s not very useful, I’m willing to admit my love for it is mostly aesthetic. I’d love to see it get some more stuff

    i got this event in my first terraria run, i was playing on christmas date, i opened about 300 presents and this event was in the middle, so i decided to summon it, i hadn't faced any boss yet, so i died

    Bit late to this one, but just thought it would be kinda cool if there was a summon weapon that could drop. Imagine your own army of snowmen with all the different guns and stuff. Would be so good.

    One of the main reasons why I farm this event is the snow. Unlike ice, snow does not care about all external conditions and it is in fact the "foundation" of a milkshake farm

    This is one of the many very questionable decisions of Relogic next to why they keep buffing the Empress of Light so much rather than buffing literally anything else like planterra or well, the Frost Legion.

    Well, I'd prefer to keep this unchanged.
    It's a nice piece of Terraria's history and there's no place to fit the "upgraded" version.
    Because the only way to spawn it without winter holidays is either to semi-cheat with your device or to defeat a hardmode event first, it probably should be a hardmode event with hardmode drops, but we already have one hardmode frost event, so this would be just an alternative version.
    So, if it should be pre-hardmode, we deny the alternative way of summoning it, making it niche again.
    If it should be hardmode, what would be the difference between this and frost moon in terms of balance?

    The truly most forgotten event, Is the Easter event with the boss called lupus. The event is summoned with the suspicious looking egg.

    Edit: it's not in the game anymore which is why its forgotten

    Since the only reward for beating the frost legion is Santa Claus, and the only thing thing he sells is chirtmas tree decorations, and you can unlock him for a day even outside of December by clearing the frost moon anyways, the only reason you'd wanna do it besides the novelty of the fight itself is if you wanted to decorate a tree before getting far enough in the game to do the frost moon event.
    Oh and I guess if you wanted a Santa outfit too

    I'm pretty late but I agree that event needs a update, others have suggested great idea like a tommy gun and a little snowman summoner weapon, I remember a idea somewhere about them having a mini boss that's a Limousine that spawns snowmen, a idea I had was a mini boss that was a big snow golem with a suit that would throw big snowballs, he would also had a backpack with a small snowman that would sometimes shoot you and he would be the snowman godfather, since they have a mafia ascetic, also I thought that since the limousine is similar to the flying dutchman then it should have a master mode drop of a little drivable limousine.
    But another thing is with all of this stuff, where would if fit best progression wise, I thought maybe after the mechanical bosses but that's kind of where the pirates are, so maybe before the mechanical bosses?
    Also they shouldn't be able to place snow everywhere, that gets annoying to clean up.
    But that's just some ideas, hopefully they update them but if not then I hope someone makes a mod to improve them.

    So basically, the snow globe has a 0.512923% chance of dropping from any given enemy. That means you'll have to kill roughly 195 enemies on average to get it

    I'd love to see this event get overhauled, along with a Halloween equivalent. Maybe extending the post invasion holiday period as well to get a higher chance of the spawners dropping, or better yet an artefact to allow you to toggle holidays, with the invasions coming randomly.

    I think if they added weapons and made it so santa can be unlocked any time of year if you beat the legion and you need santa to get the princess lots more people would play it, it would also benefit from a larger snow man as a miniboss
