Welcome to annother Stardew Valley Video! In this Video I will be ranking all of the farm layouts in stardew valley, from the worst farm layout to the best fary layout in the game. This list is mostly aimed towardws helping beginngers pick a farm layout, or maybe help people who have accidentally picked a harder layout on their first playthrough. It is true that not all farm layouts are made equally, but they are all good in their own way and you can play on any of them no problem.

  1. I have only played on two farms, standard and hilltop and I absolutely hated playing on the standard one. I am really bad at planning and decorating when I don't have any kind of guidance so the big open space was torture for me!
Now I'm playing on the hilltop farm and trying to get it pretty and I'm liking it alot more ๐Ÿ™‚ it's fun to try and make everything fit well and look good while still being useful. I mostly farm "for fun" not so much to make money so I don't mind not having as much space for crops ๐Ÿ™‚
now that I've read a few comments about how they use the other farms I'm excited to try them and a new way of playing!

  2. Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ I play Stardew valley and I have yet to have ginger island farm & beach farm to select on my tablet but on both of my switches I do get my beach farm but no ginger island.

    Laetittia

  3. My first run is on the forest, I don't like the fact that it's so small in comparison to other layouts but the nearly endless ammount of wood is great!

  4. And then there's me, creating bunch of save files with different farm styles, playing til mid season then scraping all of it and restart at a hilltop farm๐Ÿ˜„ its the first farm i played till summer and up (i'm mint new to stardew)

  5. fact iridium bats started spawning on my wilderness farm was welcomed since I had to get iridium and I wasn't the biggest fan of the skull cavern. Getting 1 bat every night made it a pseudo statue of perfection

  6. This is why you watch the YouTube tutorials! I come here for basic info I was looking for and then leave with the bonus that I can put water in my card bowl!!! I find out so many gems just watching you guys play and it just blows my mind how much I donโ€™t know about this game!! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ

Also, I didnโ€™t realize the standard farm was so big until now. I think I need to find better placement for things. But I also wish there was a zoom out function on the PS4

  7. I havenโ€™t played forest farm, river land farm, wilderness farm, or hilltop farm yet and Iโ€™m eager to try them some time. Of the ones I have played, four corners is definitely my favorite! I love having defined areas laid out for me for different things.

  8. The beach farm is highly underrated. I see commentary after commentary whine about the "no sprinkler restriction". What you CAN start early on is growing tons of grass for hay! in reality, you spend at least half of the first season without the skill to even CRAFT quality sprinklers, so you are manually watering stuff wherever you want to plant it ANYWAY! After you get sprinklers, a little smart planning gets you 184 (202 spaces -18 needed quality sprinklers that must be in there with a bunch covering the edges based from untillable spots) spaces to plant, which is enough to save up for silos, a coop, and chickens to really get your income running steady. From there, more animals are logically next because you have so much land to add more silos and grow TONS of grass for hay. Farming space for tapping trees or fruit trees is super easy to allocate. The fishing, the huge space (albeit, annoying more north-south than east to west), crates, and scenery make it worth any sprinkler inconvenience, but it is VERY doable and offers a totally new feel and ambiance to the game if you are willing to diversify your planning skills and try something new. AND once you get Ginger Island goods, you'll find the recipe for Deluxe Retaining Soil and never even need sprinklers again!

  9. I might choose 4 corners because itโ€™s got a taste of everything plus the sections which makes it easier for simple planning because Iโ€™m not that creative for planning layouts/landscapes

  10. I only have played twice so far and picked the standard farm everytime but for the next one I really want to try something new! So thanks for this video I love your channel <3 I'll chose the hilltop farm next

  11. I once decided to do a fishing playthrough where the only skill I was allowed to level is fishing. The beach farm wasn't added yet so I used the river farm.

Absolute worst decision I could have made. All it takes is a single debris to block you off from other parts of the farm, and if it's a rock or a tree there's nothing you can really do about it. One thing I did notice though is that sometimes the rocks and logs will replace each other, so I just had to pray that the logs would replace the rocks so I could break them without gaining xp.

  12. I regret choosing the Beach Farm… I wish you were able to change it ๐Ÿ™ I would have chosen the Forest Farm or Four Corners Farm

  13. I hate the beach farm. The idea of raising animals along a beach is just at odds with me. I dominate it by doing mostly fish ponds and a focus on growing plants for jam.

  14. Wow, now I really wish I had chosen the forest farm. I just want something pretty to look at ๐Ÿ˜ญ but Iโ€™m already almost 20 hours into my standard farm

  15. Iโ€™ve played for a LONG time. I donโ€™t care what you say. Basic is the best. Itโ€™s just a blank canvas for you to design however you want.

  16. I first started playing Stardew on the beach farm and I absolutely hated it.I despised Stardew valley and couldnโ€™t think how anyone could enjoy it.Then a friend noticed I was on beach farm and told me to try a different one.I ended up choosing forest and now I have over 500 hours on Stardew

  17. My favourite is the Forest Farm, I absolutely love it! It has so many benefits and is also aesthetically pleasing.

I also have a soft spot for the Beach Farm, because it was the first I ever played on, in co-op with my bf, and we learned the ropes on it.
Funny, considering how it is not recommended for beginners, but we were more grateful for the Greenhouse and Ginger Island, and then later the other farms due to starting on the Beach Farm.

  18. I was going to go with the Riverlands Farm as my first farm, but I didnโ€™t like my characterโ€™s name so I deleted the save and went with the Forest Farm instead. I love it! Sure itโ€™s a bit of a small farm, but thatโ€™s perfect for a new player like me who would be a little overwhelmed by taking care of thousands of crops. Plus itโ€™s a beautiful location, especially in the fall! If I could pack up and move to my little Stardew Valley Forest Farm I would in a heartbeat!

  19. Standard farm:
    -standard farmer

    Riverland:
    -Fisherman

    Beach:
-Tropical?(mix between regular and fish farmer)

    Forest:
    -Forager(woods, berries, and foragables)

    Wilderness:
    -minecraft/terraria

    Hills:
    -miner

  20. I will always defend riverland, it does not deserve the hate it gets. Sure, weird looking islands all over the place. But it's fun and with some planning (stardew valley planner helped me make some really neat decisions on where everything is placed) and my main income was aged roe/caviar.
