I found my Shimmer biome just by draining the ocean and I I just accidentally fell into it
You forgot one item you forgot the glow tulip at the end of the Shimmer cave

When I went to the shimmer, I got a new update pet
the dirtest block pet is the rarest thing in terraia prob, theres only 11 or 17 blocks of dirt in the terraria world

For me I got both a enchanted sword and the shimmer 😮

The best part of that shimmer it had a life crystalline meaning you can quickly get your first shimmer upgrade

What does shimmer do? im kinda new to terraria
Also, just outside the right side of the shimmer pool is a glow tulip
And btw, I tested this and it works on expert mode. So I will definitely be using this seed in my next play though
