Yeah it's a good theory but what would joja gain from making a time loop
I hope we can get a SV2 game where the NPCs are governed by AI NPCs.
I disagree with you."Why" You may ask? Here are some things that do not happen more than once:building the house of Pam and penny, the community center cutscene (if you choose the community center path)and every house upgrade. (Not a hate comment)
This is like those βWhat if they were in coma and it was all a dreamβ theories. Naw π
I like this theory but I'm not sure if that's Joja's work. Because we know it's just a basic globe wide generic all consuming corporation. And not famous for their magical or anomalous properties.
I think the more likely option it was Mr Qi. Think about this the most mysterious character in Stardew Valley. He stated more than once that he will pull the strings to make things more exciting. And he literally was seen in rare cutscene where he punishes player for cheating in glitchy world.

It would be cool if you children aged up to a new randomised character and you can gift them and raise relationship with them and then they eventually move out become a part of the town
