Or has that ship already sailed by voting it at all?

  1. It’s fine as it is, you just need to introduce a bedroll type item that allows you to sleep without resetting your spawn location.

I think the biggest issue with it is players who like to go on long expeditions get stuck out at night and can’t sleep because they don’t want to reset their spawn point.

  2. Make them grow exponentialy every nite you go without sleeping, until a new boss mob known as “The phantom queen” Spawns. Kill the queen and it drops an phantom princess egg Wich can hatch into a new ridable flying mob that disables phantom spawning for whoever it’s bonnded to for however long its alive.

Or you know…. Just go to fucking bed

  3. I think the biggest issue with the Phantom is not the Phantom itself, but rather the Insomnia mechanic.

Punishing the player for not playing the game in a specific way simply doesn’t feel good, especially in a game like Minecraft that prides itself in being a sandbox game with near infinite ways of playing and enjoying it. It is a game that gives the player maximum freedom, but then they introduced a mechanic that limits exactly that freedom to play however you want.

So I say remove Insomnia and instead tie Phantoms to mountain biomes, where they will spawn and try to knock you off the mountain as you are climbing it. That way they won’t be a massive nuissance to anyone just trying to build a skyscraper in peace and you can still seek them out and fight them by entering their specific biomes at night.

  4. They just need a mechanic to let people explore as far as they want to and not reset their spawn point by skipping the night or an item that wards away phantoms
