It always makes me surprised how 2 different versions of the same game with a few differences will drive the community apart.

I actually hate how in bedrock you have to crouch to use your shield. I am so used to right clicking that I’ve died so often when paying with friends on bedrock

marketplace, lack of mods and 1.8. combat is enough for me to never wanna touch bedrock. that’s excluding the game-breaking bugs that kill you because they feel like it.
one upside of bedrock i heard, is that it’s well optimized, but that’s about it.

I hate how floaty bedrock feels, and the physics just feel… off somehow. Also a million other tiny annoyances like having to sneak to use the shield like someone else said and different/more buggy mob behavior.

When you are playing you can suddenly die, the game has si many weird glitches.
There are so many other problems with bedrock it’s insane and drives me insane that they replaced the 4J version of console edition for this crap mobile version.

I don’t hate bedrock, I hate that there’s 2 versions. And the slightly better one is Java so bedrock’s gotta go

I most definitely am used to bedrock mechanics, and that’s why I play Java. From a technical gameplay standpoint not only is Java far more intuitive and easy to get into, it also has a much higher skill ceiling, which is why you see people building PC’s on Java and not bedrock. Mob spawning is much more predictable and user-friendly on Java. Redstone as well. Villagers too. Combat is a very subjective one, but the offhand limitations and the way the offhand is used in general are not subjective and Java clears by miles. None of this discounts the perks that are unique to bedrock (though I honestly don’t care about a harder wither; if I wanted a fun boss experience I’d be playing hypixel skyblock or another game altogether, and moving chests is a downside imo), and I would never say bedrock is *bad*. But in my mind the few things I prefer on bedrock can’t even come close to holding a candle to the stuff on Java.
