  1. Eehh… sort of, would be cool if it was a bit cheaper like 2-3 & would utilize paper too.

What could also be cool is if they used different materials for different enchantments, like iron for sharpness, gold for luck of the sea, diamond for unbreaking, echo shards for swift sneak, etc.

    Hell na
As a player that plays faction, towny or pvp based servers this is the worst idea ever xD
We can just dupe max armor book enchants or tools and ect for essentially for free

  3. I like it.

No matter how you look at it, it’s effectively much more expensive than buying books from a villager, since diamonds aren’t renewable

But it could be a nifty little alternative to avoid having to move a certain librarian from his biome somewhere far away with the trade rebalance

So all in all it feels useful in certain situations, without being imbalanced or providing too much of a “shortcut”

I wouldn’t mind it. As is, there’s not enough ways to spend diamonds. Especially in single player.

  5. Maybe like a smithing template you dupe.

You have to find the enchanted book template, you dupe it with this recipe.

Then combine the template in an anvil for an xp cost.

Something like eff1 could cost 1 level. eff5 30 levels. mending 50 levels.
