If they added vegetables they would almost be forced to make a complicated cooking system. (Would be a pain to get a balanced diet)

oh i’d love it! could make such cute farms! Would love some more cooking recipes as well though! Maybe more animals as well, (duck, bull, mice/rats, turkey, etc)

Would be great for builders and useless for everyone else unless they have certain functions that outclass existing food items.
That’s the big issue with food items. If you want them to be worth adding, they need to be something worth using at a certain point in the game. But generally you get a meat farm quite quickly and get golden carrots during the mid-late game, so you’d have to find a way of making these foods either comparable or better for them to be worth using.
It’s like when they added beetroot. It’s cool, I guess, but there’s no reason to farm them.
