Wattles you might be right about a horror update! Bundles of BRAVERY. If the pale garden is a scary horror biome, then you will need a good amount of bravery to go there, not just a little bit of bravery, not a lot of bravery like the Deep Dark, but definitely you will need bundles of bravery (of course it's also the bundle update but it could be double meaning)
idk the creaking sound seems more like the enderman "growl" no? or if not that it does kinda maybe sound like stone moving
& with the new wood type, it gives me The End kinda vibes

With a white wood type and a creepy monster looming in the dark. I am thinking the Pale Garden will be some kind of liminal space or at least have those vibes. Essentially Minecraft's official take on the backrooms
If this is an end update the wood set would make sense due to the fact there is no natural light in the void the trees wouldn't be able to gain there color

There should be qucksand in jungles and swamps that acts like the snow u can sink into
The log looks like the oak log except white and the leaves that basically just look like Mangrove leaves but white

@wattlesplays Imagine the pale garden biome being in the overworld but shrouded in mist and the creaking is bound to the biome. You can't see anything through the white mist except the occasional white tree you bump into and the glowing eyes which seem to always draw closer.

I've been wanting to make my next world horror themed (When the PS5 version comes out) so a horror themed update would be perfect.
I think that the antiant city’s portal will be able to be lit so that biome could be the deep darks portals new demeshon

I still think it will be a foggy overworld biome. Something like a surface Deep Dark with an invasive biome.

I think it's gonna be an over world biome, which would be nice, there aren't any creepy over world biomes, maybe the dark forest because hostile mobs spawn there in the day, oh! Maybe new biome will spawn hostile mobs during the day! Or maybe it only appears at night under the moon.
The original deep dark was a lot more concept was more pale

If it's the deep dark, then that's cool, but we NEED an end update.
I think it makes most sense that it is a biome for the end. Think about it.
Nether update: fungus wood and hoglin porkchops
Caves update: azalea wood and glowberries.
Places that were uninhabitable before, but today you can go to the nether or under ground and never come back out.
It would make perfect sense if they started doing that for the end too. That's why a new wood makes perfect sense.
Pale garden has a better chance being a variant of the birch forest than it does being in a cave. Sorry but thinking grass blocks in a cave seems like copium.
on that note birch trees look like they have a lot of tiny eyes so i wouldn't be surprised that birch trees have something to do with the pale garden or the creaking. (birch forest update confirmed. you heard it here)

Honestly, looking at this thumbnail, I really WOULD love a pale, desaturated and whitish wood in the game. Like actual white, not the weird thing that unstripped birch has going on.
