Ok I’ll ask the obvious… why does it look that way?

I just imagine that in the world of Stardew Valley, that’s simply how blobfish look normally. We catch them directly from the bottom of the ocean, and the other fish caught there don’t appear to be deformed.
On a totally random note, I find it hilarious that blobfish in a fish pond may request Mayonnaise, of all things.
