  1. im happy you’re having fun! for me personally, i haven’t had this fun with a sandbox since terraria. i don’t want to compare the two at all, but core keeper definitely satisfies my terraria itch since journey’s end

  2. I was very curious about this game. And it was a blast. At the start. But now i have 50 ours and its started to be annoying. I never had situation in terraria when something was anoying bc it was unfair or boring. What i mean? For example in worm infested biom lives big worms. That eat torches. WHY! They could burrow in ground an pop up in random places. WHY THEY EAT TORCHES? Another? Caveling Gardener create snare plants. One guy can spawn multiple plants. And they dont disapear when you kill them. So every time when you kill them you have to slowly aproach this plant bulsh1t and took it out from outside of its reach. Next? Bomb scarabs. They exist only to blow up your automation stuff. In a game that is so grindy that it basicaly force you to automate.

Bosses suprisingly often are literally just reskins. I fought 6 bosses. And 3 of them were just different flavour slime. And there is two or three more.

I also despise gear progression. BC there is non. Terraria has gear progression based on both: Crafting from better ores and looting from certain enemies. In Core keeper ore progression is only for making better pickaxe. But you gear always coming from random AF loot. With few exceptions that are situationall(like raincoat) or useless(like all armors made with ores). This kills feeling of actual progression.

  3. Fun fact about the lighting in this game – it’s so good because it uses sophisticated lighting algorithms that would be too slow and complicated to run in real time in higher resolution, but are feasible at the resolution the game runs at!

  4. You gotta try Necesse too. Its like terraria aswell, with some light colony management system, and enemy raids are fun. It recently got a graphics update aswell

  5. I set up my first base around the musical room entrence thingy, and just randomly crafted and starting messing with music when my friend saw the door light up whenever i was playing the instrument, what an insane game this is.

  6. It is indeed a really really great game 😂 The meadow with the cute critters is my favorite part, so serene and enemy-free 🥰 that was until I left a passage open, and those caveling savages went in and butchered my cows and sheepies! 😭so that's how I learned I have to be very defensive about my cattle that gives me plenty of happiness 😂
