I would prefer sharpness but if you’re in the nether with it then it’ll be good, although then the fire aspect is of little use but for the normal skeletons that show up.

sharpness is better i think

I prefer Smite > Sharpness because it allows for one-shotting of very common enemies like skeletons and zombies, and is great for fighting the Wither. Sharpness is always useful no matter what you are fighting though so I understand why some prefer that.
I do not like Knockback II as you end up having to chase the mobs around to finish them off.
I also don’t love Fire Aspect as I end up getting burned which although not super dangerous is annoying.
I do love Punch for knockback and Flame for burning on my bow though.

Personally, I don’t like Knockback and Fire Aspect on my swords, and I much prefer Sharpness to Smite

I don’t really like Fire aspect and knoback, but that is just a personal preference. It’s not the best sword you can get in survival. In snapshot 24w10a, from 1.20.5, you can have a sword that has simultaneously Sharpness, smite and bane of arthropods!

For withers?Yes.
For the rest?Not at all.

Knockback + fire is a bad combo.
Knockback would be good on a Sharpness sword, because you dont want Creepers next to you.
I am dual-wielding all the time.
Sharpenss V sword with Sweeping Edge, Looting, Unbreaking and Mending.
Smite V sword with Sweeping Edge, Looting, Unbreaking, Fire-aspect and Mending.
Strong attack one-shots most normal undead mobs. Even on hard. Yes, baby zombie is dead with 1 hit.. Or even a wither-skeleton, where many are scared (and yes, on Bedrock and Java).
The Wither is also really fast down.
What people (even here on comments) really dont get, is HOW strong Smite is on undead mobs, compared to sharpness.
You are making little bit under DOUBLE the amount of DMG. Thats a lot..

Because you put every single enchantment on doesnt make it better. Fire aspect and knockback are annoying in actual gameplay just like frost walker on boots. Cool on paper and meh in practice.

For me i would replace smite with sharpness, and i would also get rid of knockback. Its useful for pvp but when you’re fighting monsters its easier without knockback
