but if you want you could play with extinguished campfires a bit? like replace first slab on each side with a campfire?

You could use fences & hidden animal with a lead to make it look like there’s rope on the sides. Signs on the sides would also work but you’d have to remove the lily pads and spore blossom. If you’re not in survival, you could use invisible item frames along the sides and see if there’s something you can put in them that looks like railings.
Also since its a small bridge, you may like the way extinguished campfires look instead of slabs. Feel free to experiment.
