Hey, I am new to modded Minecraft. Is this FPS normal for Minecraft? I have a GTX 3080 with a Ryzen 7 5800x3d and I am running 1440p. I have downlaoded a lot of mods, but this fps seems insanse for the system I am using. I understand Minecraft is primarily very CPU heavy, but I have a pretty good CPU, so I was wondering if this is normal, and/ or if there is anything I am missing. Thanks.

There really ain’t a “normal” ’cause there’s so many different variables.
Looks like your render distance is set to 60. If that’s the case then an FPS of 20 is perhaps a touch high.

I can’t tell for sure in theses screenshots if you are using shaders or not, but I would try without shaders to see what happens, shaders are extremely taxing on the most powerful systems, even with a 4090, people have issues, the fact is Minecraft was never coded to support shaders, which cause issues, some shader packs can be ok, I’ve seen good results with complementary ones, maybe you can try them.

Lower your render distance, between 12 to 20 should be good enough
