Anhk shield would stop u from getting knocked around when the dodge from brain of cth doesnt proc, which is super useful and i think you would appreciate having more stability when flying around fighting the bosses. And theres also upgrades for the cross necklace, which gives and extends i frames somehow, after recieving damage, i think theres a cap on how long u can be invincible after taking damage, but there are interesting builds for it, or there used to be at least. Might not be viable anymore tbh. And make sure you're using melee modifier flasks, cursed flame, ichor, crumbling etc, for whip damage, and figure out which whip effect you wanna use. Firecracker and cool whip is a combo i know, and spinal tap effect is useful too, but I'm not a great summoner so best combo is above my head
