Admittedly i very much lack inspiration for a trident fighting arena, so leave your suggestions in the comments on how to improve!

I like the idea of flooding the entire arena and putting a conduit nearby. Have it be fully aquatic.

playing iron bars in the soruce block of the water outlet for the area might help with getting stuck in there without ruining the looks
Idea: Get Tango or Impulse to make a scoreboard that keeps score on a digital lantern scoreboard that adds a score when you put the opponents head in your chest. Invite Etho to show him your scoreboard before he gets to open Frogger with his similar scoreboard.
if grian joins the club then he could do fishing rods with different level platforms with dripstone at the bottom or smth

No offense to ren but anyone who leaves mending is ill
ya know for the enchants I just wish they'd follow the levels, so like say a villager got ridtide 1 as an enchanted book trade, then as you level them up they'd get the higher levels.
and then sure villagers could have multiple kinds of enchants they trade, but it would only be if its possible for them to get the whole set, so the enchants that go up to 5 they'd only get if the first trade got the book as that's the only way they'd be able to get all 5 levels of it, and so at each level it would guaranty they get the trade, but if say they got an enchantment that only has a few levels they would have a chance to not get book, with there being some point where it would guaranty the last level. like it would be nice, less enchants to roll thru, and you'd get all the enchants, if you got a ridtide trade you'd get all the levels.
I mean if you wrote a spell why wouldn't the next book you make when you level up be a better version? instead its completely unrelated, other then a better chance of getting higher levels, its just weird.
Just a note: Why not use a conduite thingy and a aquarium to go with that for a arena?? Just a thought, hope it helps

i comiserate about the villagers. i spent a solid 1 1/2 hrs getting mending (and I'm 90% sure riptide 1 showed up in the process) and then, when rolling my 2nd villager, got mending on the first try, and for 10 EMERALDS cheaper!
hey gem maybe add some dispensers with water buckets in the celling of the arena , so that you can change the arena with a press of a button by changing where the water pillars are , that way same place but multiple of choices for arenas patterns

I’m pretty sure a couple seasons back etho made minigame that was around riptide combat, maybe that can help!
In terms of trident throwing…something like a target range or a dunk tank could be fun.
maybe you could maje the arena a giant fishbowl thats flodded, with a conduit underneath the arena or in it, with obstacles and other things they could have for cover. Maybe add a loyalty trident as well for variety. maybe add depf strider boots and a respiration helmet and maybe add pants, or make the armor of varying materials so people dont just eat all the attacks like its nothing.
Grinding for hours on end for mending books is OUT. Grinding for hours on end for Riptide I ?! Let's go!!
Idea: The arena could have a piston door floor that slides open into a fishtank for underwater fights. A conduit could also go in the tank.

You need a lot more water in the trident arena imo + the arena needs to be bigger. Check out Etho's trident game from previous hermitcraft seasons (season 7 I think)
