When you originally completed the Mines by reaching Floor N⁰ 120 you were given a "Key" of some sort, were you not? I found myself thinking about said item. Would that "Key" allow you access into the clearly labeled Sewer area? If by some measure I'm right about such it would be a new area for fulfilling content.
Disclaimer: Please keep in mind I'm going based off observation, current memory, and zero recollection of anything I may have once viewed in several years past.

Little tip, you pretty much never need the scythe with you. It's only for grown crops that need it (like wheat) and to get hay from grass (after you get a silo). Anything else you can cut with the sword or grab with right click
