Anyone know if it could be possible to send a constant redstone signal to keep to closed and when I press a button it opens the door?

  1. I couldn’t tell you how to do it from memory, but look up how to make a T Flip Flop switch.

I know it’ll be a lot easier after 1.21 comes out.

  2. You could invert the signal with a redstone torch. power the front side of a block with your button, place a redstone torch on the back of that block, and then connect the torch to your door.

Back your repeaters up a block and put a solid block with a Redstone torch between them and the pistons. They should stay closed and when you power the repeaters they will turn the torches off and make the pistons retract for the length of the input. What you use as your input is up to you.
