Hi there. I am making a 64×64 automated carrot farm and for the water that breaks the crops I am using trapdoors because it is cheaper than crafting 64 dispensers. However I have tried to get the trapdoor to open and to let the water out but so far I have only been able to open the trapdoor. For some reason the water isn’t coming out my original design was to surround the trapdoor with cobblestone but to get it to open, I had to make it 2 blocks high.

Any fixes I can repeat 64 times on all the other trapdoors?

Piston arms can be used. Don’t think water flows through open trap doors same way that Java Minecraft does.

I play Java but i strongly assume it’s the same on Bedrock: Open trapdoors also block flowing water, so there is no way to let it through. You will have to use dispensers or sticky pistons to pull the trapdoors away. Hope this helps!

  3. If you can waterlog the trapdoor, the water will not flow if closed and will if open.

Are you using a water-logged trapdoor? From the pic, it looks like it’s on the block below the water, but not water logged. Water-logged trapdoors allow water to flow if they’re open, idk which version you’re using. Try shifting your trapdoor up a block so it’s in the water

  5. Trapdoors won’t work unfortunately, just use a single regular piston instead.
