Hey there everyone Philo here and welcome to my channel the 1.6 update of sard Valley changed up the way you fight in the game with the addition of the Mastery system and the trinkets that you can now use on your character today I’ll show you the types of trinkets that are

In the game and the ways you can acquire them on your own playr first and foremost to get trinkets you would need to have unlocked the Mastery Shrine in the cinder sap Forest if you don’t know about that you can check out this video here that I made

Which explains in detail how the Mastery system works and what are the rewards from it you will need to unlock the combat Mastery on the shrine which in turn will open up the trinket slot on your character and teach you the anvil recipe which is needed for reforging

Trinkets the Anvil is used to reforge trinkets to reroll their stats to reforge a trinket you would need three redim bars and it has a chance to get better stats on the trinket you’re currently reforging but it also can get a bit worse so if you’re trying to get

The perfect trinket you may need to spend a little more irum bars than you planned so keep that in mind so far there are eight trinkets in total in the game and they are mostly found in the form of monster drops or treasure rooms in the skull

Caverns they can be equipped in your trinket slot and they all have different effects that they give to the player the first one that we have is the Golden Spur this trinket can be found as a monster drop and it gives the player a speed boost for a certain amount of

Seconds after a Critical Strike this can be mostly for speedruns where every second counts but other than that the other trinkets that we will cover here will have way more interesting effects the Golden Spur can be reforged at the envil where the duration of the Boost can vary

From 5 to 10 seconds depending on what you get the next drink here that we have is the fair box which can also be found as a monster drop or from the treasure chest in the skull Caverns when equipped it summons a level one to five fairy

Depending on the level of the fery that heals you in combat situations this is quite useful for those skull Cavern runs since you constantly lose HP but by getting extra healing from combat it can be quite beneficial the fairy box can be reforged at the envil which can change the level

Of the fairy from one to five depending on your luck the next one that we will cover is the frog egg if you equip the frog egg in the trinket slot it will spawn a frog which will follow you around all the time when you’re exploring Dungeons and

Enemies are three to four Tiles near the Frog it will consume the nearest Enemy by grabbing it with it Tong which is quite gruesome and cute at the same time come on the Frog will then follow the player with a full belly and it takes 12 seconds after eating until the frog is

Able to eat another enemy so after returning to normal size the Frog will eat the next enemy it encounters so you can just go around the mines feeding your little pet and showing the monsters who the real monster is I have to mention the enemies killed by the Frog will not drop loot

And they don’t count towards the monster eradication goal or Quest so be careful with it the frog egg can be reforged by the Anvil to only change the color of the Frog and available colors include green blue green brown red yellow blue Prismatic and void with Prismatic and

Void variants being quite rarer than the others these changes are only cosmetic another trinket that we have is the Basilisk paw this trinket when equipped will cause you to be immune to all of the debuffs from the enemies in the game this doesn’t include the self-inflicted

Ones such as the ones from food so do keep that in mind this trinket is great for combating those pesky puted ghosts with their nauseated debuff I swear the debuff is so awful that I always went in the dangerous mines with around 30 pieces of Ginger to combat it

But now at least with this trinket debuffs would be a thing of the past the basilic spa cannot be reforged at the Anvil since it just has a static effect and the next trinket that we have is the parat tag which is another companion trinket when you equip the

Parrot eg it will spawn a parrot which will follow you around everywhere when in combat the parrot will have a chance to find gold coins when slaying monsters so this can be quite useful when you’re low on cash the pair tag can be reforged at the envil where the level of the pair

Can go from 1 to four depending on your luck the egg is found as a monster drop so you need to keep fighting in order to get this but it can be quite useful when you’re really low on cash the next trinket that we have is

The only one that you can buy from the game and that is the magic hair gel you can buy this trinket from the desert Festival from Alex for 100 Calico eggs when you equip the trinket it will only cause your hair to constantly change color like a prismatic chard so this

Trinket is mostly cosmetic the magic hair gel cannot be reforged at the Anvil the next trinket and one of the trinkets that I like the most and that is the magic quiver this one is really useful and it can be found as a monster drop it effect is to shoot magic arrows

At nearby enemies every random second dealing damage which can vary depending on the stats of the trinket and it also does knock back to the enemies I just love this trinket for the scull Cavern runs going against all of those fast-paced serpant this trinket can be reforged at

The Anvil and its name can change to perfect Rapid or heavy rapid has a fast rate of fire and low damage heavy has a slow rate of fire and high high damage and perfect has stats which are in between as shown on screen as you can see you have a few

Options to choose from so whichever suits your play style the most go for it but it may take you a while to get all of the best stats needed for the trinket and the last of the trinkets that we have is the ice rod this is the

Other trinket that I like the most due to its effect it’s dropped by enemies as Loot and its power is really useful and life-saving even the ice rod shoots an orb of ice over a few seconds which freezes any enemies in its path for a given time the timers vary depending on

The stats of the ice rod the ice rod can be reforged at the envil and after reforging it it may become perfect changing its name to perfect ice rod and this variant fires Frost orbs every 3 seconds and freezes for four this is quite useful when you’re overrun by

Enemies in in the skull caverns and you can just destroy everything in your path but there you have it those are all of the new trinkets that are in sard Valley and where you can find them all this can be quite useful to you but you would have to first unlock the combat

Mastery in order to be able to use them and the Anvil as well in order to be able to reforge them to their perfect form all in all the new trinket system is quite amazing and it changed the combat in start valy for the better what what do you think which of these
