Two new fishing festivals have come to stardew Valley the Trout Derby and the squid Fest and I’m going to show you everything you need to know first we have the Trout Derby this event happens on the 20th and 21st of Summer and is at the lake in the cindersap forest you’ll

See a ton of new NPCs here like the not at all creepy fishing sisters but the actual challenge here involves fishing rainbow trout for rewards occasionally when fishing up a rainbow Trail you’ll also pull up a golden tag to redeem rewards at the festival stand you’ll

Need 11 golden tags in total to redeem each unique reward however there isn’t a limit to how many rewards you can redeem the rewards are a tent kit Deluxe bait triple shot espresso quality sprinkler Farm warp totems Omni geodes a bucket hat a crab pot mystery boxes a diamond

And a wallmounted trout the chance of getting a golden tag from a trout seems to be about a one in three chance so if you use challenge bait and get a perfect that should guarantee that you get a golden tag that’s what it seems to be

But I’m I’m not sure you can also use the bait maker to turn your rainbow trouts into rainbow trout bait because what’s better than cannibalism this will increase your chances of finding a rainbow trout though they aren’t super rare and I think you’ll be fine without it nothing really changes in the second

Day of the rainbow trout so next we have the squid Fest we’re just going to jack that huh all right this event takes place on the 12th and 13th of winter and the fishing sisters make their return to nobody’s Joy instead of fishing for an item in this Festival you’re going to be

After the actual fish itself or well the squid on day one of the festival you’ll need to catch eight squids to get all of the prizes and unlike the rainbow trouts these guys are rare and not only that they’re kind of hard to catch I personally was unable to catch any

Squids with the challenge bait but if you’re a better Fisher than me feel free to go on ahead I’m just going to stay here with my Deluxe bait and double trap bobber setup that would be what I use but like I said these guys are rare I would highly recommend bringing a bait

Maker with you because because otherwise you’ll be cutting it really close fishing up enough squid to get all the rewards the rewards for day one of the squid Fest are Deluxe bait 10 winter seeds dish of the sea a pearl coffee the squid kid painting just really sinking

That one in aren’t we and the Ardo crabbing book you may have realized from my phrasing that’s not all the squid Fest has to offer because on day two there’s an entirely new set of rewards and unlike day one you’ll need to catch 10 entire squids to get these rewards

After fishing up all 10 squids you’ll be getting a trap bobber mystery boxes dish of the sea a treasure chest triple shot espresso a squid hat mystery boxes again and a seafoam pudding once you’ve gotten those items you’ll have gotten everything from the Trout Derby and the squid Fest fishing festivals
