Hello everyone welcome to episode um whatever episode we’re on we’re Trident farming Trident farming oh my gosh I I could not have planned a better intro so that is Trident number three not bad if I do say so myself Trident farming aside let me show you what else

I’ve been up to between episodes I’ve changed a couple of things around here listen it’s a skull sensor and a glow squid head on a notebook and I really like the way it sounds I’ve moved the fish to a more central location you can now see it very easily from the mouth of

The anglerfish and I’ve just added some other details that all of you suggested so thank you for that now while we are on the topic of details there’s an area of my base that is currently bothering me and it’s this area here these docks that I put here around episode one I’ve

Been loving but they don’t flow very well into the rest of the terrain the backside of this structure looks great but it kind of just comes up into a weird Hill and then our storage room is just kind of in the open which I feel like is probably not that safe so before

I head out to sea to do even more farming for my shops I feel like we should spend a little bit of time here at home working on some of the finer details around our own base going to need some Moss for this cuz I think Mossy stone bricks would look just Fant

Fantastic I think one of the main issues is that I kind of moved out of my starter base and then never built myself another place to move into so I’ve sort of just been bouncing between all of these structures and mostly my storage room but I need a place to actually put

A bed a kitchen all of those things and I think directly above the storage room would be a perfect spot for that so that they can kind of blend together so today we’re starting the episode with me officially building a house now I have to admit I’ve almost done zero planning

Of this space in Creative so I don’t exactly know what I’m going for here I just know that I want some sort of structure to start connecting all of this together and just make me feel a bit more immersed of course now that we have some Coral I can officially start

Mixing this in of course in its dead form as sad as that is gosh the the coral mechanic it’s a little sad isn’t it I don’t like that I’m just murdering the ocean but uh well it looks good so I’m going to my plan at the moment is to get a

Good foundation in and then a roof line make sure we’re not too close to the power lines there although I’ll admit none of this base is going to be up to code when it comes to electricity you can tell by the fact that the power lines literally

Spark all right and I lined up this Foundation of course so that I could have a doorway way pretty easily right here directly into our storage room and then we can also have a nice upstairs area next stage to building any structure we’re going to start on the

Walls and the roof line so we’re going to be using dark oak for the line of our roof to match with this and Spruce logs for the pillars the only thing is these pillars over here are a lot more interesting mostly because the build itself is suspended above a beach this

Build over here doesn’t have the luxury of that it has has a solid foundation which I think is a nice change don’t get me wrong I like it I just it means we need to adjust a couple of things and for that I’m going to need some Spruce

Slabs and stairs I’ve done this trick before in order to add a little bit of depth it’s pretty simple really uh I think we’re going to need to knock this out here little bit more Mossy bricks basically we’re just going to have a little area right here where the siding

Juts out and then just like magic we stack our pillars up up from this just gives the build that little bit of depth you see I like it and once the pillows are in for the walls all we got to do is start marking in that all important roof

Line at this stage in the project I’m really just thinking about the shape and making sure that it actually fits in the space I’m not committing too hard to this shape because it’s not like I’m filling it in and doing a ton of details and then I would have to move that it’s

Just a basic shape I can stand back see how it looks and if I end up not enjoying it it’s pretty easy to move it all right that’s half of a roof lineing down let’s just take a quick peek see if I like it honestly I think I do it’s

Obviously it’s a little close to the power lines but the power lines can always go up a little bit more themselves I don’t think I want to make this Hut Too Short cuz it’ll start looking weird next to the boats that I’m building from here that’s definitely a

Great scale for the whole building and so with that knot of approval we can go ahead and put in the rest of the outlines after I had the frame up I realized it was one once again time to do some material Gathering something I’m noticing immediately having now built

The frame is that I haven’t really solved any problems I mean my storage room is quite a lot safer but now I have to go around this big old building in order to get down the stairs or I have to jump in the river and swim so there’s

Still a few like pathing issues that we have and I would love to sort that out now particularly this dock area is a well it’s not quite what it needs to be be the transition to the grass here it just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense I

Think if we instead go ahead and make some like retaining walls of sorts here it would make way more sense and could flow a lot better of course it does block a little bit of the front of this building but I don’t actually think that I mind that

Let’s have the ground level be right about here that’ll also help this staircase over here blend in a lot better cuz I’ll be honest I haven’t really been using that I think Mangrove Roots could definitely save the day here in terms of a transition material I think at first glance it

Probably seems like this immediately just makes the problem worse cuz now there’s even more to walk around but I think in reality it gives us a really good idea of the paths of travel around here and it allows us to focus the decorations and the lines of sight in

Those areas specifically I think this matters more to me this season than than usual because I am going for a much more highly detailed base as I shape this terrain I’m literally already seeing everything coming together I’ve just created a nice line of travel here with

This staircase up we can go this way or around this way and of course we have our original staircase over there and another pathway over here towards our mines and other areas in the base I want to keep establishing a whole bunch of layers around here and I’m going to do

That with more overhangs and I decided I want another one of them to be over here I basically want like a whole bunch of old canvas looking sails around here I did this on our uh angler fish structure over here with an actual flag there and then some other Birchwood kind

Of tied in and I’m going to again bring that color over to this building I may have to get some more smooth Sandstone for this but for now I have Birch so that’s what I’m going to be using basically all I want to do is drape this

Canvas from this pole over to this structure are you seeing my vision yet I feel like this is going to look really cool I can totally see exactly where the path should go from here I feel like I’m finally establishing just a little bit of direction around here which is really

Nice feel like this area now is a much more cohesive spot to kind of hang out it just needs you know a bunch of more details like some lanterns and some hanging signs stealing this idea straight from Green thank you yep I think this is pretty darn cool

Oh my gosh it’s just come to life so much more than just the plain old sloping grass that was here before I love it all right all right all right I’ve been super tunnel visioned in working on all of the tiny little details around here so much so that I

Horrors around but you know we’ll get to that that’s just details small little details for now I have something I’ve been procrastinating and it’s these holes in the ground this is a horse tunnel connecting mine and gan’s bases and I’ve been meaning to do some work

Down here but uh well it it keeps getting away from me I need to terraform the outside a little bit and also work on my connection to this because at the moment I haven’t really worked out how I actually want to get up and down from here

Cool basically I just want to find a clever way to kind of cover this up and I think a little structure going into this rock could probably do the trick after working on the horse tunnel for a little while I got distracted and went to farm some Trident and of course

Lovely to have a visit with Etho Etho coming by for a little visit to trade a permit was a fantastic reminder into what I should be focusing on which is well my permits I still haven’t farmed all of the things for all of these permits yet we just got rid of our glass

Ones so now we’re left with Clay all the Nether Bricks Trident moss and all the the coral this includes sea pickles and I think that is exactly what we shall focus on next SEA pickles I actually think having a farm around this area might give it a little bit more function

So what if we take out these Mangrove roots and create a farm right here just um give me a moment it’ll be done in just a second and just like magic this pickle farm is complete just got to flick that lever right there and it sounds a little bit insane

But it’s completely covered up you can’t tell that it’s here and it’s creating infinite sea pickles this will be fantastic for our shop it also adds a little bit of function to this little dock area I’m super pleased with it you can’t see the design but I use the

Design by XB here in the hermitcraft server so I’ll link that down below now I suppose it’s probably a good time for me to head to spawn and see if anything needs a restock oh boy pickle farm definitely works well come on Skipper back to the shopping district

Here we are Moss oh yeah we did sell a bit more Moss nice haven’t had any more pickle sales but we’ll refresh the stock either way and you know what now that we have a farm maybe we should make it a bit cheaper actually about 32 instead of
