Rating ALL The 7 Farm Layouts in Stardew Valley 1.5

Hey there everyone philchill here and welcome to  my channel today we are back with another starry   valley video but this time we’ll be ranking the  farm layouts in the game this is done purely by my

Own opinion since i know that everyone would have  a different choice in their own game and i wanted   to make this video for a while in hopes of helping  out newer players out there with their choice

Of a farm for their start after the 1.5 update  there’s a total of 7 farm layouts to choose from   which all have their own pros and cons we’ll be  starting this ranking from the bottom to the top

Making sure to explore all of those positive  and negative sights so you the viewer can choose   better when starting a new farm at the seventh  spot we have the riverlands farm since it’s one   of the hardest farms to start off properly since  the waterways take up a lot of space from the farm

Leaving you with only a few places that you can  build on and farm as well it’s not recommended for   beginner players but you can still give it your  best the whole farm is like a maze without any

Direct route to and from your house which adds  on the challenge the farm has more water than   farmable soil and it’s quite rare and important  to plan your layout in advance in choosing where   you want to plant your crops build your buildings  and keep your animals in order to make a living on

That farm this farm layout was made with fishing  in mind but most of the time you won’t even fish   since it won’t be worth it in the long run  even if you place crab pots all around it

It won’t be profitable since you will spend a lot  in order to craft those as well so it’s a farm   with quite a challenge in order to start properly  at the sixth spot we have the beach farm the new

Addition which was added with the 1.5 patch is  also quite low and only for one reason and that is   the sprinklers don’t work on the sand on this farm  it’s a really harsh penalty which takes a lot of

Your time in just watering the crops on the farm  daily and only because of that reason it’s so low   on the list the farm looks amazing and it’s quite  beautiful you also can get occasional packages

Washing up on the shore that can contain random  items when you break them those can help you a   lot at the start of the farm and their contents  are always random there is also on the bottom

Left corner of the mat a grayish area with a small  pond that sometimes forageable items can spawn on   the only place that you can use sprinklers on this  farm is a small batch of soil above the mansion

Pond where you can plant crops and use sprinklers  there but it’s still not enough to make up for   a harsh penalty that you can’t use sprinklers on  this farm because in order to make a lot of money

In the long run you’ll still need to plant on  the sand for buildings at least it’s not an issue   since you can place a lot of buildings and the  beach farm it’s more suitable for keeping animals

Instead of planting crops so you can get a lot of  bars with pigs and start your big madness there   at the fifth spot we have the wilderness farm the  wilderness farm is quite straightforward you have

A large pond in the middle as well as a pond in  the bottom southwest corner of the farm by fishing   in a pond you can catch mountain lake fish and  there are a lot of cliffs that limit the formal

Area of the farm increasing the difficulty of this  layout when night falls monsters can appear and   attack you randomly which most of the time serves  as an inconvenience since there’s nothing more   worse than just coming low on hp on your farm and  getting killed by a monster in front of your house

The most benefit that you can get from the  monsters are from the wilderness golems which have   a chance of dropping some mixed seeds when killed  and this can be quite a benefit early on in your   plague but afterwards it won’t be that useful  since you can just buy your seeds from piers

When you have enough money and those monsters  can only serve as a major inconvenience then   at the fourth spot on our list we have the hilltop  farm the hilltop farm has a lot of uneven terrain

Which also limits the farming space for that far  but still gives you enough to work with to succeed   unlike the riverlands farm which makes you  getting from point a to point b quite hard   this one manages to even out that and lets the  player move around freely from multiple points

You have quite a lot of farming space to work with  where you can grow a lot of crops which can help   you in making a stable income the big feature of  this farm is the quarry that periodically produces

Rocks geodes and oars which can boost your start  with a nice source of periodic raw materials   you need to just note that the quarry produces  materials or based on your mining level   so when you level up your mining the quarry  levels up with you producing higher level

Materials like for example you start out  with copper then with iron then with gold and   then iridium the hilltop farm aesthetically looks  really amazing with a river running through it   making a lot of combinations possible with  decorations so it’s a really nice farm to

Start your journey in stardew valley at the  third spot we have the four corners map this   map was made mostly for a multiplayer game where  the whole farm layout is divided to four sectors

And each sector has its own look the farm is quite  huge giving you a lot of farmable soil which you   can use to get a stable income the divided look  has a certain feeling and it helps you a lot when

You want to choose whether to build or grow some  of the things you want the need for you to build   fences or things like that is gone since there is  a natural wall of stone going in four directions

This is the most optimal farm when used for a  co-op game giving you the natural choice for   every player and limiting their farming place  i quite like the four corners layout since it   has some nice places that you can make even  better when you start decorating this farm

Layout is perfect for new players as well as the  returning ones which want to try out something new   at the second spot we have the standard farm which  is one of the best farms to begin your journey in

Sardival the standard farm doesn’t have anything  except farmville soil which is the best for all   those money hungry players out there since you can  just use up every square inch of land and plant it   with crops making a ton of money in the process  the downside of the standard farm is its look

Mostly since there is no variety in it and you  need to come up with your own ways to make it   the farm look the way you wanted it the huge  quantities of gold you would be making with

This farm can help you achieve that since you’ll  be able to unlock most of the end-game equipment   buildings and crops more easily since you  would have a more easier access to gold   then on the other farm layouts this one  is one of my favorite layouts as well

Since you can manage to make it just  the way you would want it to look like   and at the first place we have the forest farm  the forest farm for me is on the first place   because of its look since it makes a great  combination between nature and farmable soil

Giving you a perfect balance between them the  farm border is made from trees and foliage   giving you a secret woods vibe and there are a  few forest clearings where you can find a bunch   of stuff like forageable items weeds that always  drop mixed seeds and 8 renewable large stumps

Which can be an awesome source of hardwood  early on in the game before even getting   access to the secret woods when fishing you can  catch cinder step for a spawn fish but there   is also a chance to catch a wood skip which is  also important for the community center bundles

I just love the forest farm layout since you  have loads of farming space that you can use in   combination with the forest clearings and it has  a really beautiful look in every different season   well those were my thoughts on the farm layouts  of sergio valley what do you think which is the

Most favorite layout for you and which one is the  one that you have spent the most time on please   let me know in the comment section below since i  would love to hear your stories about those in any

Case that’s all i have for you today if you want  to see more content like this consider subscribing   to my channel since it helps me out a lot and if  you enjoy the video don’t forget to leave a like

I hope you have a great day and i will see  you all in my next one but till then stay safe you

In today’s video we will be ranking All the Stardew Valley layouts in order to determine the best one. This is purely my opinion and it shouldn’t be taken for granted since everyone can have their own choice in which is their best farm layout in the game. The farm layouts in Stardew Valley are quite important and with the addition of the beach farm the total number of farm layouts are 7 in the game with the Stardew Valley 1.5 patch and all have their own unique pros and cons.

  1. Hold on, I just had a thought. You can place sprinklers on floor tiles, right? I have this on my own farm to stop myself from ploughing up my sprinklers every season. Can you not place floor tiles on the beach farm too make the beach farm an actual option?? And put sprinklers on the sand with the floor tiles???

  2. I chose the riverland farm as my first one. I kinda have an idea of how I want myy farm to look like, although it is pretty hard finding my way through I wanted to chose something out of myy comfort zone

  3. I can never decide if I prefer Hilltop or Forest as my favorite layouts. Both are aesthetics I absolutely love, but Hilltop slightly wins out for the hills and river running through. But at the same time, the bridges for the river in Hilltop could be wider and the quarry just doesn't replenish ore and stones fast enough for long-term use. Forest, on the other hand, is both beautiful and fully practical; no restrictive navigation beyond forageables and weeds, plenty of soil for crops, and provides an additional constant source of hard wood. I just wish I had that river and hills…

If only there is a layout that combines those two: a forested hill with a river running through (maybe even with a small waterfall) easy to walk around in, hard wood stumps AND an actually useful quarry, and plenty of space for crops, animals, and buildings. That would be the dream.

  4. my first ever farm was on the hilltop farm but i got frustrated with it and chose standard when i changed from PC to my switch. kinda wanna try starting another on on the hilltop farm again or try out the forest farm since it does look really nice

  5. my first farm was the beach farm, after I got to Ginger Island and opened Qi's walnut room. I decided to start a new file on the Forest farm as I wanted to see how much sprinklers would change my farming experience. I can safely say that having not only access to sprinklers, but also tons of foragables and 16 free pieces of hardwood each day from the 8 stumps found on the left side of the farm makes the forest farm my favorite farm layout.

  6. My first farm, which I'm still playing on, is the river farm
And honestly.. I'm loving it so much! I kinda like planning it out a lot and i Like the maze like Feature ..it looks really interesting and i love that i can just go outside of my house and fish if i still have 2 or 3 hours of the day and want some more money. Also, I think it kinda reminds me of my childhood, since i grew up on a farm with a lot of little places and many different ways to get somewhere, as well as having to "work" to get to specific places

  7. My farthest play through is only year 2 because I haven’t been committed to the game lately, so I’m starting fresh again and thanks to this video I think I’ll try out the forest farm!! I didn’t know about the benefits my first time around!

  8. I got the forest farm first because I was very into cottage core lol. For my second, I chose the four corners farm (and kept it on single player) so that I could section out into something more uniform and primarily money making, with pigs in the top left, other animals and my tree farm in the bottom left, fish ponds and artisan machines in the bottom right and crops in the top right

  9. i just started the game and chose forest farm because i feel wood is very important and i love forest as an aesthetic and so far i like it. im struggling for money(idk what to put in the item box what not to) but im managing. im going in blind and staying in blind

edit: i have a question tho. whats a perfection run?

  10. Hmm which farm could I take as a „Beginner“ I played at the release and then I didn’t played for a long time. I want to start now again but I don’t know which farm type I should choose. I have a game with the forest farm but I need a second farm ( one is for Videos one for streaming – not this channel so no add for my channel – sry can’t good English xD hope you understand what I mean ) so .. would you say it’s not too hard on the hill-top farm when I didn’t played a few years? :-/
Would be nice if you would answer I really don’t know which one I should choose I like the forest farm but I can’t take the same farm again. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And the Standard farm .. I don’t want it again I played so long on this farm x3

  11. I am relatively new player and I chose the four corners farm and I was wondering if it was good because everyone said to pick the basic farm. I am on my second year

  12. I have come to prefer the wilderness farm. The large amount of farm-able land with decorative nooks has made it my favorite look. I avoid getting killed early on by doing things late outside my farm and running to the house from the shortest route to go to bed. As my fighting skill goes up I can enter the farm from any path to head for bed without getting killed. The large pond is by far the easiest to use for crab pots.

  13. I started playing about a week ago, and I’m starting to see that I shouldn’t have picked riverlands

But i also don’t want to make a new farm as it’s my first save

  14. My main farm is the forest layout, and it ranks near the bottom for me. There isn't much farmable space, and the huge pond in the center makes it hard to get creative with decorating your farm with sheds and paths, since most of the space is used up by farm buildings. I do like the layout, but I like the others, like hilltop and standard, more, mostly because it's easier to plant crops.

  15. My first attempt was on a standard farm some years ago. For some reason the game didn't hook me, and I quit. i've recently started playing again, on Riverland, picked for its beauty, and I love it. beautiful land, and great game. I actually like how the farm is is already divided and can be used to put different buildings in different arras and isles.
I've also tried the forest farm, and it is great too. All the forageables and stumps, and t looks nice too.

The only thing I don't like in this game is the fishing. i just can't make it work, which means I'm stuck with buying fish for community center tasks.

  16. I am a very new player so I am using the largest one I think you put it as three on your list? I did start a beach one for my first co-op oops. Maybe I will do a four corners later on but am most interested in the forest one hehe. It looks so amazing and the hilltop one I could work with too maybe I will play them once I wrap up my big project on the map I am on. The four corners though I think I would want to have more than just me and my hubby on hehe.

  17. imo the 4 corners and riverland farms are my favourite. I struggle a lot with managing space on my farm so these farms are just perfect for me since the land is split into segments. Best aesthetic definitely goes to beach farm though. 👍
