I had no idea how rare the Enchanted Sword was, I was lucky enough to of found it immediately on my first play through, but never saw it again in any other world so far….
I beat all of this game on expert without potions or any arena. Yea, I was the easiest class in this game, ranged, but I never went to nurse on bosses. This game is not as hard as you might think. Just git gud. Or play ranged/mage
I found a sword shrine once because of a meteorite landing on a shrine and uncovering the shrine room

ice blade is a much easier to obtain melee weapon early if u ask me

It honestly surprises me just how many people don't make herb farms for potions. They just use potions that they find around the world 😂
One tip I found to be extremely useful for long term progression is to horde everything you don’t normally get. I horde a LOT of stuff and have 400+ chests of loot.

5 playthroughs in, all medium worlds, i still haven't found a single sword shrine. I had to look up a specific seed for the zenith because game doesn't like me having the enchanted sword

Idk why but i have never used more than one buff potion while fighting a boss in terraria, the only major potion i use is iron skin and i just rely on the heart lamp, and bast statue kind of buffs

Are the mechanical bosses supposed to be hard? I didn't use any potions for them and i beat all of them without dieing except for the destroyer. (I used the star cannon for the twins and destroyer and for skeletron prime i used the megashark.)
Is it normal to have your 1st boss as brain of cthulu, second the deerclops, 3rd the king slime and finally 4rd eye of cthulu normal?
Deerclops jumpscared me when i was chilling in my little tundra hut until he started banging on the ground and burping

Id say jungle is probably better than desert to rush, blade of grass or chakram, mage armor, good yoyo and whip, also find the queen bee summon sooner
My tip is: over preparing for every boss so u could easily win the fight and yeah use potions because potions are really really usefull
