I wouldent cal this the hardest way to play terraria, instead i would call this the hardest settings to play with, the hardest way to play terraria would include challenges like lawnmower only with no armor, accesories, healing potions, buffs, and other restrictions
I think its impossible to beat Getfixedboi in hardcore. Like its impossible… There are so many traps and things to just accidently die… Getfixedboi is insane. I have tried it and I died 300 times before even getting to hardmode… Just everything is pain. I cant even explain the amount of times I died by random traps and just pure bs ways… But then again I am just average so someone pro might not die as much by traps but it takes 1 small tiny mistake and your dead…
if you want something a tad more balanced but still painful, use mediumcore instead of hardcore. It makes it so you have to reobtain all your gear by either going to get it or grinding back up. would likely be more enjoyable than hardcore.

One thing I can also add for true masochists is to only use the sentry weapons.
