Anyway, a better way of making traps is with observers, put one under a door, behind a chest, under an enchanting table, heck, replace a block with cobblestone, so when they break it their base blows up.
Yo ry, the clock can be used while underground to see what time it is if u cannot find ur way out I think it points to ground level metal instead of underground metal
