To keep the short at the top, I’ll cut to the chase. The new minecraft snapshots/experimental updates have brought a new block called the Copper Bulb into the game, which is toggled on/off by a Redstone pulse, and while on, a comparator can take a signal from, which means Bedrock and Java have both received a new, small footprint T Flip Flop.

Now for the long long.

I was interested when I read these two bits in the patch notes:
“Copper Bulb can be toggled by Redstone pulse” (paraphrased)
And
“Comparators will read a signal if the Copper Bulb is on” (also paraphrased)

So I had to try it out. Attached is the excerpt from the notes, AND my own trials. I found the Bulb can be soft powered as well as hard powered, but does not conduct a signal, so you can have multiple tiled right next to each other, as long as dust isn’t involved.
