The Terraria weapon that breaks Pre-Hardmode… The Sand Gun. In this video, I take a look at this early Pre-Hardmode ranged weapon that can be obtained extremely early, not requiring any bosses to be defeated. It is also incredibly powerful and can easily carry you all the way to the Wall of Flesh. This all sounds perfect on paper, but of course they’re a catch. The sand gun actually fires sand blocks meaning your world can become covered in sand very quickly. This not only looks gross but also makes mobility difficult and can ruin your boss arenas. The question is, is ruining your world worth it for having a weapon that can carry you into Hardmode? Lets take a look.

  1. Hey, just wanted to say that these videos that you are making are really good. Length, editing, information and everything else are in a perfect equilibrium and it's so fun to watch. Keep going, I have no doubt your channel will grow alot in the near future.

  2. I don't think I'm the first to point this out but I'm still going to regardless. If you the sand gun in a area where the floor is covered in mine cart tracks or torches then the sand won't be left on the ground making a mess as it just drops to the ground as an item or is deleted. Tracks are cheap so it's worth it for boss and event arena's. Thing's your going to spend time making anyway. Added bonus is that there back ground entity's so they don't slow you down and if the sight doesn't bother you you can have a layer 10 or so blocks above the ground going from one end of the world to the othere. Good for travel and catching stray shot

  3. I think this weapons is horrible, but in the good way, it is good but it is tedious because of the sand, i think it is kinda funny

  4. The sandgun is good for sandgun arenas lol. Full vertical walls, and ground surfaces that sand cant stick to

  5. My younger cousin was so esstatic about this weapon when I told him about how it becomes piercing when using ebonsand.

Was not aware he didn't know corruption can spread…

  6. I wonder how difficult it would be to make a mod that creates either Disappearing Sand or simply a special Sand Ammo that doesn't place blocks

  7. This weapon is my absolute favourite for multiplayer because while I do care about the world being clean, I care way more about annoying my friends, and the sand gun does an absolutely amazing job at that while also being a viable weapon too.

  8. I actually used the sand gun in my first playthrough to defeat king slime! Needless to say it holds a bit of a special place in my heart for carrying my first boss kill 😅

  9. I used the sandgun in my master ftw playthrough. If you place down torches or furniture items without surfaces (bathtubs, sofas, etc.), the sand doesn't really get in your way, and you suddenly have an extremely powerful weapon with no drawbacks. It's important to note, however, that if the sandball hits the enemy while directly over whatever you put down, the sand will still place, so if you're firing directly horizontally at a boss, there's a good chance you'll accidentally place some blocks.

  10. You actually can place Minecart Tracks on top of the platforms on your arena to prevent sand from turning into blocks. But you still won't be able to shoot down to the platform, sadly
