Even though I'm one of those people who love a good long series… particularly if it has a good story… I do also understand the logic of shorter ones. After all, as a rule, this isn't just a "playground" for creators. It's become a very huge entertainment centre, that is enjoyed worldwide, for pretty much any type of content there is. As the owner/operator of your production business, you are the producer and director (also cameraman, editor, etc.) of every "movie" or "tv show" that you upload. So at some point, every creator has to look at "the numbers" and try to figure out how to improve them. Otherwise, you're making shows of yourself for yourself… and that's a bit… arrogant and vain. What I'm saying is, I agree with you. You've reached that time when you have to look at "the numbers"… or else this is a waste of your (and your family's) time and effort. Hubby and I are currently doing this same sort of research and contemplation because we want to have a little channel of our own. The decisions that need to be made at every aspect of the whole is sometimes overwhelming… and adding in "life" makes it even more so. But we're getting there and at some point in the next while we will upload our first video. A momentous experience for us… exciting and terrifying at the same time.
