I’m not to great with Redstone, but here’s my take on a auto crafter that can make any recipe that contains 4 unique ingredients, If you replace a pair of the chests with an item splitter it would also allow you to make recipes with 3, 2 or ingredients without losing the speed of 4 input hoopers.
You can set the recipe by adding a stack of items in each slots of the crafter as needed. The crafter will only craft once the hoppers feeding into the crafter have at least 1 item in them, this should mean that the recipe items will never decrease below 63 and wont crafter if 1 of the ingredients is missing.
The Etho hopper clock at the bottom needs to contain the highest number out of each ingredient needed in the recipe + 1 for example pistons highest number is 4 cobblestone so you need to put 5 items into the clock. TNT highest number is 5 gun powder so you need 6 items.
