I try Terraria for the first time!
This is a blind playthrough, tips and tricks are appreciated however the best way to enjoy the game is figuring out things yourself.

My first experience with Terraria’s Halloween update, it’s amazing!
I think I met the entire royal family in Terraria. Duke Fishron and the Queen Slime! Though The Duke got the upper hand this episode, the fish isn’t safe.
The Twins get dealt with and I get a new armor set!

Is there a reason that there is no boss music? Would be nice to hear it.
Maybe the Bananarang isn't the best weapon now, for the Destroyer and upcoming bosses. If you're going ranged, i'd recommend Daedalus Stormbow from hallowed mimics with holy arrows to shred the destroyer. And i can also recommend the Megashark for the next 2 or 3 bosses. Megashark is crafted with the Minishark sold by arms dealer. Illegal gun parts sold by arms dealer at night time. 5 shark fins (from sharks in ocean their abit rare tho) then 20 soul of might (from destroyer) Megashark is also very good for Duke Fishron! Also banarang is melee damage
Also if u get the Pickaxeaxe u can mine the green ore at the jungle called Clorophyte u can make armor and weapons also u can craft clorophyte bullets that home in ur enemy so its very good too and the damage!
If you put a key of light/night in a normal wooden chest summons the biome mimic of the key you put in. This is so its easier farming mimics since they are a bit rare and they have good loot.
Also get the pumpkins you can easily craft food that gives you medium improvements to all stats (only need 10 pumpkin for 1)
You should make the mushroom biome a bit bigger, it should have 100 or more mushroom or mushroom grass blocks in order for it to become a mushroom biome.
Tip: NPC shop prices are determined by their happiness. it can be cheaper or higher.
dont go crazy with reforging or goblin tinkerer will drain ur money lol.
speaking of money, here is a extremely simple inf money glitch (forgive me if my directions are confusing)
make a stack of 4 blocks. break the 3 blocks under the top one, then build 3 blocks across to the right then remove the 2 blocks in the middle then place a platform beside the right block to the left side. then hammer it untill its a stair facing right towards the right block. now all you have to do is hold place a crystal shard in the gap between the left block and the platform. yea u only need 2 blocks, 1 platform and 1 crystal shard. then sell the crystal shards if ur statisfied

I see you mainly using melee weapon, so I think melee set for hallowed armor is better for you.
Bananarang is a boomerang, yes. It has range, yes. But any boomerang weapons in the game are all melee weapon, that also the case for flail . Doesn't make sense? Well don't ask me.
Now if you look at every weapon ( and tools actually ), there's a text that tell you what kind of damage that they deal.
For example: Wooden Bow, 8 Range damage.
That's mean it will benefit more with range armor set.
(With no spoiler )There's isn't a rule for it, but in terms of progression, the order of boss that people fight when entering hardmorde is:
Queen slime, mech bosses, boss that hasn't appear yet, and then the fish.
So yeah, the fish is actually supposed to be fought later, so don't be surprised if you still want to fight him and find it hard.
BUT, the fish boss is available as soon as you enter the hardmode, so yeah, like I said, no rules for that, you actually would get benefit if you manage to defeat him this time in progression.
Well! I missed last weeks video, but I’m here for this one!
First of all, all the mechanical bosses summon items are crafted from either souls of light or dark, so joe can help with that
Second, can’t believe you summoned the duke! You’re not gonna be able to take on fishy for a few bosses yet.
You killed the twins… but did you grab the souls? If not you’re gonna have to do it again 🙂
The destroyer is an easy boss to kill with the right equipment, just make sure you have piercing weapons and it’ll work out 😀
I’m a big fan of the way terraria handles classes, honestly wish more games would let you have that amount of flexibility!
Once you finish off the mechanical bosses, take some time to look through all your gear and upgrade whatever you can! The coming battles deem it necessary 🙂 also it’s just fun to become overpowered in this game, but it’ll take a bit of grinding!

Tip muramasa dungeon volcano craft from hellstone blade of grass from jungle materials lights bane from demonite demon altar then use hallowed bars for sword. After mechanical bosses upgrade the two sword and defeat the next boss find temple underground jungle solar tablet fragment craft solar tablet use it kill moth for a broken hero sword (and maybe some other things) use 2 sword and broken hero sword. Trust.
Im not gonna go into detail but you missed a certain drop from the twins
So outside of holiday season, once you do the Frost or Pumpkin moon events, a tooltip will say something along the lines of "the spirit of Halloween has appeared in your world" for each respective holiday. This basically means that the hearts and mana stars that you can pick up have a different texture, like candy canes for Christmas, and enemies have a chance to drop goodie bags or presents that have costumes or other items inside. Also, you can buy pumpkin seeds from the dryad, probably to make it possible to fight the pumpkin moon outside of october since you need it to craft thr spawner. Minor spoiler below explaining what the events are!!!
Basically, its an event that lasts until the morning where you have to kill a number of enemies to progress to the next wave, with progressively better drops. They have some really cool and good weapons and other items! Hope this helped!
Ok now that you have gotten SUPRISED Duke fishron = end game secret boss
Another comment! So each world has either copper or tin, iron or lead, tungsten or silver, gold or platinum, but never both. Same applies to cobalt and paladium, mythril and orichalcum, titanium and adamantite. So the reason you see new ore thats worse is because it doesnt appear in your world, since you had the alternative. By throwing it in shimmer or using crates and the extractinator, you can obtain ores different from the ones your world spawned.
Oi, make sure to plant your seeds on clay pots, so you don't accidentally destroy them.
You can buy pumpkin seeds from the Dryad at any time!
Has a great melee weapon and an INCREDIBLE mage weapon
"Let's make the ranged one"
– The Unholy Trident is extremely good but mana costly
– Dao of Pow is good, but bananarang is better
– Shimmer the party girl bathwater
– Duke Fishron is meant to be fought roughly 3 bosses later
– After defeating the final mech you can upgrade the extractinator
– Since it's october, pumpkins will spawn on grass. Harvest all the pumpkin you can, and craft it into pumpkin pie, which is extremely good, like an ironskin potion but also boosts damage and movement speed
– The sextant and all other "informational" items such as the lifeform analyzer work from the inventory, you don't have to equip them
– with souls of sight from the twins you can make the optic staff and rainbow rod. Rainbow rod in particular is AMAZING for the final mech boss.
Terreria did a crossover event with Dont Starve. Other game crossovers exist for:

In Classic Mode (your current mode), the boss souls drop in midair, so make sure you collect them! Otherwise, you will have to fight them again. In Expert Mode, boss loot drops are inside a loot bag — which include the soul drops.
oh, yea… you can lower the lightning and rain noises by lowering the "ambiance" in your sound settings.
btw, ice tortoises can drop a very defensive item! it reduces damage taken by 25%! the drop rate is not very high, though. you can combine that item with another defensive item and get even more defense. i thought i should let you know since, i noticed that you get hit a lot.

you need mushroom grass seeds to grow a surface mushroom biome. once the music and background changes, it means you have successfully created it. takes time for the grass to spread and it must be a big enough surface area to count as a mushroom biome.
The best modifiers are: Legendary for Melee, Unreal for Ranged, Mythical for Magic and Ruthless for Summoner. Weapons with no knockback cannot receive any modifiers that amplifies or curtails knockback — it includes Legendary, Unreal, Ranged, Ruthless or Godly. The best global modifier for all weapons is Demonic in lieu of knockback modifiers.
Still recommended to get the best modifier if you have a TON of money to spare!

Yes, it's coz you're playing in October! You can get some sweet costumes for your character during this month – look out for the bags ✌
EDIT: Nightcrawler=worm+fallen star one of the best baits you can get if you ignore the… ahem Angler.
For the record, boomerangs are melee, not ranged. Ranged is usually guns and bows. It's weird in Terraria because plenty of melee weapons also shoot beam projectiles. The tooltip will always let you know which class it is. Nothing feels better than finding a new rare weapon with high damage.
Another tip: potion crafting will be cheaper if you're near your alchemy table you already found in the dungeon, it's in your base. A bottle as a crafting station is sufficient but the alchemy table has a 1/3 chance to save ingredients. Growing potion herbs is easiest on any planters, sold by Dryad. Each herb blooms under specific conditions, whether time or weather, which matters if you want to maximize seeds and herb harvest. Potions are a godsend in boss fights.
My hotkey of choice for quick heal is clicking my mouse scroll button.

3:28 Yeah you should really do that. Whilst the corruption can't outright destroy certain biomes like it did in older versions, it still overwrites the biomes it corrupts in terms of fishing and enemy spawns.

Congratulations on beating the Twins! Too bad you missed picking up the souls of sight and then logged off, meaning that the sols despawned and you'll have to do the fight again to get them.
Also, your detailed player house inspired me to tear down my old basic house in my new playthrough and rebuild it with more details. It now has an indoors park, and that's just the beginning of my new plans.
