Hey Mr Beardstone, i dont know if you know this but there is a really cool addon for create called Dave's Building Extended and it adds some usefull decor for trains.

To min. 24:49 , you could build Like a Watertower or some decorative Krane in The middle there🤔
I love Create so much it is such a well made mod and i love all the creative stuff you can build with it. Best part has to be the Trains I CAN FUFILL MY CHILDHOOD DREAMSSS
Adding the building wand mod will make the building of platforms easier!
I have a suggestion what to build in the free space on the train track loop, is to build a statue for your 1000 days achievement.

What If you added a water tower in the extra space of the train station. Steam engines historically needed water towers at train stations. Could be a cool thing to fill the empty space.
i used toms simple storage and 10 max sized vaults for my storage
perhaps in the yard you could build a clock tower/signal tower. either just decorative or not. just to give a use to the clockwork bearing in this series!
Add a gantry crane(for decoration and use) in the loop in the train yard
