This Terraria weapon can deal absurd damage… The Psycho Knife. When it comes to Terraria’s most powerful weapons, usually this is left in the realms of things like the Zenith and Sniper Rifle due to their incredibly high dps. Surprisingly however, there is in fact another much smaller weapon that can deal thousands of close quarters damage which can be obtained much earlier- The Psycho knife. While this weapon is definitely interesting from a numbers angle, it can be rather tricky to use though! Enjoy!

    i got a question, im a new player who started 2 days ago and i can say that im doing good but the one thing that makes me curious is can you play on other worlds with different modes? (expert mode and master mode) i cant really bring myself to try it out myself because i think my data would delete or smth so i came here hoping for answers

    Word of advice when farming psychos is that they tend to stand still and invisible near where they spawn, so you probably won't kill much of them if you afk in one spot. You will need to actively move around and look for psychos because they don't actively attack the player untill you get close.

    Correct me if im wrong, but didnt the cutlass used to swing WAY faster than it does now; closer to the paycho knife?

    I would love the devs double down on the stealth mode, making the weapon slower, but better at the sneak attack angle. I would even make it be animated as a short sword, but makin it a melee counterpart of the sniper rifle: slow, but deadly. With a focus on crit.

    If there was some sort of on hit bonus like a crystal flask buffing your true melee weapons with splintering shards then the weapon would be op. For now, into the invincibility machine you go, here's your beetle armor and flesh knuckles. kick

    I feel one of its best uses is troll builds for pvp. If you enter stealth mode and wait, you can basically instakill even the tankiest of builds due to the crazy high damage and speed.

    I legit once used a max damage setup with the sniper rifle and it dealt over 1k damage to my brother and the shot was actually so powerful it crashed his game

    I mean one person beat duke fishron with Pape airplanes so I don't think it's to much of a stretch to say it's doable with the syco knife especially since duke fishron dosent have a time limit

    i think it'd be really cool if they made the psycho knife behave like the arkhalis with larger range and a different swing animation. it'd give more incentive to use it and make it more fun to use (imo)

    "the only way to break the 1000 damage mark on some weapons" meanwhile the Nebula EX blasts critting for 2000 damage on some occasions even with a very casual build
