This is my first hyper longform video. Thank you for being here to enjoy it :). I have some refinements that I'll be making for future videos to continue improving. Likes and subs are appreciated if you enjoyed the content!
I love watching new players on my favorite games. reminds me that there’s more to these games then hella competitive gameplay and optimizing everything as much as possible. I miss this first experience, taking 300 hours to get to moon lord, having to plug in my spare controller and have my dad help me beat the destroyer after struggling for weeks, having a thousand wiki pages pulled up for everything I needed to remember. the good ol’ days, before 1.4 was even on the ps5. all the support in the world, man, this video’s amazing and I haven’t even seen you get wooden leggings lol❤
This is a very impressive first playthrough. For the majority of the boss fights, you were unknowingly handicapping yourself severely through the use of suboptimal gear and strategies and yet somehow you always managed to force your way through. would love to see an expert or master mode playthrough
I really want to see an Expert and then a Mater mode on your channel as well as a all bosses run. It's really fresh to see someone new to the game try it for the first time. And you understandably skipped a lot of things and didn't even touch a single Fishing Rod.
On my first run, I was barely able to get to hardmode before having to check the wiki. You were able to just tear through the entirety of classic difficulty on your first try, Amazing!
Yes, the regular Terraria experience is filled with death. It's really cool watching someone play through the game spoiler free, but I think the objectively best way to play this game is with someone who knows how to play the game, on expert mode. Not because of some elitist attitude, but because it adds a ton to the game. There are lots of unique drops tied to expert mode, most of which are extremely cool, and the bosses get new attacks and more aggressive attack patterns. One of the reasons the game seems so overwhelming is because it's been around for so long. It's similar to minecraft in that sense where it's been around for so long and a lot of players have played through most major patches, that a new player is just absolutely left in the dust. The game as it is now still has a lot of the content that was around at release, but so many mechanics have been added for quality of life or just pure content that a lot of the old mechanics became sub-par. You honestly just scratched the surface of this game. There are 4 bosses you didn't fight, and some of the coolest items in the game.
Why do you try and play the calamity mod there is a lot more content and lots more weapons and a bit more of a challenge "I would recommend playing on expert revenges"
The broken hero swords that were dropped by the Mothrons (Those weird flying bug things which are summoned rarely in the solar eclipse which is the orange moon thing-y) are apart of a long crafting tree for the Terra Blade, which is a absolute MUST for your next playthrough. I recommend you search up its crafting tree.
If you can't find to get the Terra Blade. Then get the Influx waver from the Ufos in the Martian invasion! After all, they are pretty much equal when doing the job.
Now, there are a lot of upgrades you could've gotten, but didn't get. With the Spectre boots you can make Lightning boots with a Aglet and Anklet of the Wind. These boots make your movement speed 8% faster which can help a lot if you need it. Now if you have gotten a pair of ice skates, combine them with your lightning boots to make Frostspark boots which can help you with ice. You need to do this to get to be able to craft the Terraspark boots, but they are really grindy and I recommend you stop at the Frostspark boots. Now you should have also gotten a better pair of wings. As the bone wings weren't a upgrade and kept you down with stats like the angel wings, instead you should've gotten Mothron wings from those Mothrons I mentioned earlier or the butterfly wings which are crafted with butterfly dust dropped from Moths in the jungle (Not mothrons). Then you should also get a pair of EoL or Duke Fishron wings which are dropped from the side bosses with the same names, the wings are after all godly from what I heard! So I recommend you grind them for the wings.
its so wholesome seeing someone play terraria for the first time, its awesome that you were able to navigate the very ambiguous game that is terraria. all that aside would love to see more terraria stuff. also FYI dying that many times is completely normal
Yes, everyone dies this much their first playthrough. Honestly, I've actually seen worse than this. (I've also seen better first-timers, so I'd say you're pretty average for a first-time player.)

Dude, this was an awesome video, congrats on beating moon lord without much help from the wiki or other youtube videos

Bro got the house with the grass top XD
Your first ever death in Terraria being due to a Corruption pit is such a Corruption moment.
This is great. I wish I didn't use the wiki on my first playthrough.
On the whole five playthrough ive had, i never found the shimmer biome and this guy found it by accident.
me screaming at the screen telling you to combine your accessories the entire time
Here are some tips:

Bro really said, I like this weapon, I'll use it until the end of the game
Fighting the destroyer for the first time must feel like you are in the middle of star wars.
You suppose that's the nature of the game
Next do a Master mode run
not picking up the musket after your first shadow orb was kinda painful lmao
It's not just you. You handled the learning curve excellently! Great video.

Facing hardmode without tinkering and bad weapon that too hard
How were you able to craft so many items on day 1 shortly after cutting down the tree??
That's goofy asf (maybe sus?)
