What functionality would you give the Crab claw?
The reason the mob vote winners always end up being underwhelming is because the description is not very specific
They should just do some thing like how they do it with the frog make it spawn in multiple different biomes with different types

Biomes are definitely gonna be a make or break for these mobs, the only mob that is in a biome you can find pretty generously is the Savanah
I’ll be neutral, so I’ll say logically/objectively your opinions are bad; but I do agree that the crab shouldn’t be added to Minecraft

The crab has the best functionality which is better in the long run
The crab should beat the armadillo by 0.1% because the penguin is practically useless so if one doesn't get added it should be the penguin and if the armadillo looses by a very small amount, we will get the crab now, and when the savannah biome update comes around we will most likely get the armadillo!
I've kinda stopped playing Minecraft over the years and play other stuff, but crabs are cool little guys and look nice and I like the idea of the claw over wolf armour, horse armour ls more uselful.

Honestly all of the mobs this year are disappointing there mediocre at best and are 2 of them have mediocre uses the penguin is downright useless. Also its been three years since we had a hostile mob in a vote and that was the Iceologer and that lost to a retextured squid thanks to Dream rigging the vote. when are we going to have another hostile mob vote because 3 years of passive mobs is boring. Honestly the reason mob votes are good is because of the creative mythical mobs that are dreamed up.

I feel the claw should serve a generalist role as a tool.
Its capable of many things wether it a heavy hitting weapon or to be a extendo ranged block placer/breaker, this would make it a much more useful item to have as not only would you have access to a strong attack that does some narly damage with a somewhat slow attack speed while also having a tool that can help in construction without needing resources to get up higher areas just to deal with one pesky block

The crab is not a good option i dont see it being better than dog armor when u can just bridge and scaffold to build rather than reaching🤦🏻♂️ this shit is for lazy ppl
For pvp or combat its worse just imagine having an army of armoured dogs, u would be invincible
