Its actually 1 in 80 in prehardmode vecause there is less mob variety, making it the best time to grind for the banner and metal detector

I got mine pretty fast, they spawn often in my spaghetti farm
As far as I'm aware, the rune wizard is the hardest banner to obtain.
For some enemies the banner kill requirement is reduced.
Tim and rune wizard take 10 kills.
Nymph, hallowed mimic, and paladin banner take 25 kills.
Old ones skeleton takes 200.

Fun fact the king slime can spawn naturally without a summon or slime rain but the reqirements and the chance of it spawning is the rarest thing in terraria

That’s not how it works. It’s 25 not 50 for mobs like that. For example, mimics, Tim and mobs like that have 25 just like the nymth.
What about rune wizzards
