  1. In my second year, learned how to be more productive. Lived in WA countryside for a year and really enjoy the life there. It rains so much more than in the game

  2. this game is so full of lovely little details, charme & soul it's very obvious that this was made by someone who actually loves games.
i'm really happy for him that it sold so well, he seems to be a great guy and he's obviously a very talented designer and developer👍👍👍

  3. Thank you so so much Eric for creating Stardew Valley!!! It has such a special meaning to me as I started playing it with my brother after our mother passed away in 2020. It brought us closer together and gave us many laughs. I still play it a lot today ❤❤❤ one of my all time favorites.

Can’t wait for Haunted Chocolatier 😊

  4. I got this game way back in 2017 when it wasn't the big popular game it is now. Years later, I'm still playing it and love it as much as I did when I first got it. I'm so glad that the price has stayed the same despite all that's been added to it over the years. When I bought it, I couldn't spend much/run big games on my old computer. This just means that many other people like me could enjoy it all the same at $15. Eric is such a great and supportive game developer, we need more like him.

  5. İ have a PTSD and cant tell you how much that game helped me he actually save me from ptsd.

    Legend Eric Baroni 👏👏❤️

  6. Played it with my daughter for years. Just one more day, then BED! She'd constantly hide my horse behind a tree, and I could hear her laughing so hard from her room. In the mornings, I'd dive out of bed and start tilling, planting, watering, cutting down trees … then I'd think "Hold on, where is she?". She'd be in the town, buying JoJo wallpaper for the cabin, and spending ALL of our money on Pizza and giving them away to every single NPC.

    10/10

  7. 14 million on PC and 9 million on consoles. The guy is worth over $130m now. Just from bedroom coding a single game. Amazing! Hope he marries a supermodel, buys a horse to ride around on and has 2 kids that never grow past the age of 8. He's earned it!

  8. I'm at 940 hours between 2 files. For a $15 game! I haven't gotten that many hours out of big budget, multiple person developed Nintendo games!

Edit: and hea making another game! Haunted chocolatier. Hes currently taking a short break from development to make the 1.6 update for stardew valley

  9. it's not just about being simple ,it's the little details in thing where the grass moves when you collect it , the sound of collecting crops after they are fully grown is very satisfying , i think stardew valley sound design is one if not the most important part in stardew valley

  10. when I met my gf and she found out I played games, she said she doesn't care about them and will never play them with me ever. I got her to try stardew and now we play almost everyday together and have finished the community centre twice.

We get married in 4 weeks 🙂 I'm a lucky dude

  11. what a total sweetheart omg. I hope he never loses his enthusiasm & genuine-heartedness like a lot of devs end up descending into, he seems so lovely and caring!? He's made a game that's like a safe haven for so many people. Thank you Eric <33 we're all so grateful for the effort you've made continuously! So excited for 1.6 update.
