Struggles with lava eel (and crazy enough to try without trap bobber to boot) but is thinking of attempting the octopus…. oh dear maybe someone should tell her, so I think to myself.
Octopus actually has the same difficulty as the legend Crimsonfish…
For a Joja route it will be more fun if you use the Stardew Valley Expanded Mod or other Joja mods, the Expanded mod brings a lot to Joja and Moris.

lava eel is too difficult to do even at level 8 with a low tier rod. once you get to level 5 you can buy an iridium rod that you can attach bobbers to. the trap bobber is the most useful for difficult fish

Liss if you're gonna do a joja run, get SVE so there's a worthwhile story to follow. The joja route in the vanilla game falls kinda flat because players really were meant to kick joja out.
SVE however, gives morris more depth, adds characters that eventually move in if you pursue a joja route, and gives you the joja equivalent of ancient fruits and sweet gem berry later as well. The mod offers a point to going with the joja route. You don't need to follow the adventurer's guild plot if you dont want to, it stays seperate from it.
I think this might not only be more fun for people to watch but also better/easier for you to play while keeping your interest.
this style reminds me of those popular minecraft videos that were like "i played minecraft for 200 days in minecraft" these ones its pretty good but i am nostalgic for classic letsplay style since i grew up watching it this way but i do appreciate how this style might be more engaging
