Regarding the NPC arrangement shown at 10:30 – there are lots of alternative ways to arrange your NPCs to, for example, get the best average happiness across all your NPCs. I, however, prefer to get a few key NPCs to their max happiness, and honestly don’t worry about the happiness of other NPCs that I generally don’t buy from anyways. This arrangement gets max happiness for the Goblin Tinkerer (easily the most expensive NPC in the game) for the best discount on his reforging service. The Angler also gets max happiness in order to boost chances of getting good rewards from him.

Most of the other NPCs are also generally pretty happy, though not all will be happy enough to sell the pylons at the listed locations. And if you are planning a big purchase from a specific NPC, you can always re-arrange them to make the purchase, then set them back.

The other benefit of this arrangement is that by having at least 3 NPCs at each location, it will create a village that suppresses mob spawning in the area, and also makes it easier to re-locate NPCs and still be able to use the pylon. Add in a few pets, and you’ll be all set!

Game footage is from Terraria, a totally awesome game by indie developer Re-Logic. Interested in trying it out? Go here https://terraria.org/ or here https://store.steampowered.com/app/105600/Terraria/

Music is also from Terraria and was composed by Scott Lloyd Shelley / Resonance Array.

  1. I've gone into hard mode without preparation and my east beach is completely corrupted and I don't know what my next tasks should be! 😭

  2. Can two to three sunflowers stop evil biome if there is no other convertable blocks?
Edit: now on 1.4.4 should i only quarantine the evil biome? Because altars don't spawn evil biome now

  3. Used this last year for when I started Terraria ever since I wanted it when I was younger, and still very useful for a second play through this year! Thanks a lot

  4. i have played 1000+ hours of terraria and have beaten moon lord in master mode tens of times but this still taught me something, thank you

  5. Dug a helevator (using dynamite) and placed non corruptible blocks on the edges (gray brick) also removed the walls. I basically boxed out the corruption pre hardmode (making sure I wasnt missing any blocks). And I also dug several hellevators (2 on each side at the end of jungle, dessert, snow and corruption. But at the start of hardmode my jungle was corrupted and it spread through my dessert for some reason. Any help? T.T I spread the hallow instead so that it cancels out until I get steampunker

  6. i need help
currently preparing for wof im concernerd about the isolation of the V that wof spawns, what should i do? i need to isolate in a V format too or should i just dig up to hell? pls i need sum help

  7. Dawg I was so sure I was gonna easily deal with biome spread until I learnt about the god forsaken V that spawns like cmon man its so annoying especially on large worlds might as well just use the grid based method and just dig 4 block wide tunnels every nook and cranny of my world

  8. Bro ngl I barely defeated moonlord and was opening shadow chests and the wall of flesh appear and it was rlly ez but I need to prepare more base wise

  9. The reason I’m so scared to enter is because in my first non-journey play through my the corruption completely went straight through the jungle area where my jungle base was and it was RIGHT next to my main base too

  10. Ok, I need help. My ocean pylon Village is on the right side on the map, and my shimmer is on the left. Now my dungeon overlaps with my beach (on the right) so I can’t make a hellevator on the right or a fighting arena ):

  11. I went into hard mode for thr 2nr time then crimson just appeared next to my base what did i do wrong i made a tunnel around the corruption isolating it and lining it with un coruptable blocks

  12. Ok… so I built everything except a plantara arena and life fruit farm… but… I don’t know where to build it, any recommendations
