A simply amazing Terraria weapon you need to try… The Meteor Staff. In this video, we take a look at an amazing early Hardmode mage weapon that is my personal favourite out of the selection of craftable wands available at this point in the game. The Meteor Staff not only provides high single target dps, but is also a fantastic crowd control weapon, keeping it useful on events ,invasions and bosses. Which do you prefer: Stormbow or this?
Logic will be meteor staff for exact hit stormbow for large segmen on large terrain with big zone less dm but let say no mana use i much use arrows ichor or cursed or holy for deastroyer the meteor is an eazyer way to get an strong weapon guaranteed not like with hallow mimic that coul be a pain in .. to kill and get if you fave luck good i was one of that man my first mimic drop so ya is pure depend on playstle of any man

Crystal vile shard is better in my opinion because you get to kill the destroyer the only way i see this being useful is the twins i dont even want to imagine trying to hit skeletron primes hands with that.
when i played mage for the first time meteorite staff really changed my opinion about the class
sadly meteor staff isnt as good on console
a decent weapon to do a review on is the pulse bow, but due to being sold by the traveling merchant is rarly used and over shadowed by the chlorophyte shotbow because the pulse bow cannot use arrow types .

The Meteor Staff is one of my favourite weapons in all of Terraria and definitely one of my favourite Mage weapons. Not only is it incredibly good (even if a bit of a mana drainer) but it's also a really cool concept and super satisfying and fun to use, plus it also has other helpful benefits such as easily being able to reveal surrounding caves while underground and attacking enemies in places where they can't even reach you. Whenever I play a Mage this is one weapon I never miss out on as it's just too good to pass up.
Have to say, as a main mage player, just now I made a playthrough that made this really shine.
Mostly because I'm pretty sure it was buffed at 1.4.4, but the functionallity it has is quite unique at this stage.

personally i always use this and a mana flower to beat duke fishron pre mech bosses whenever i do mage playthroughs. although i found daedalus stormbow switching between ichor and holy arrows is easier, its a perfect option for mages and isnt difficult to use
I used all the way to plantera on master mode. It's pretty amazing
The first time I've ever crafted and used this, I was blown by how much powerful it is, but insisted in not using it constantly due to it's high mana cost and even with mythical modifier and accessories that reduces mana cost, it still eats up a lot of mana if you use it as a main weapon

I used this for a bit in my first 1.4.4 playthrough because I thought it sounded cool
It’s definitely a good weapon but I’ve found the stormbow to be a little better
The meteor staff goes into one of my categories of weapones i like to call "spray dont pray" which just means spam the whole screen with projectiles because you will just hit everything
only bad thing about this weapon is that it’s basically useless underground since it doesn’t have the starfury thing of passing through blocks above your cursor
