Minecraft Diamonds have actually changed huge time… In today’s video we put Mojang’s recent diamond increases in minecraft 1.20.2 under the microscope to see just how much better (or worse) these changes may be. Even better, these changes exist on both minecraft java edition and minecraft bedrock edition too.

  1. if you know how to properly install minecraft forge and know how to download mods then one easy way to get renewable diamonds is to download the Geode+ mod.. they had a geode for every single ore in the game including Netherite AND if you want to farm those new echo shards they even have geodes for those too!

  2. As someone who prefers exploring large caves over the boring strip mining method, I really like the new Diamond generation changes.

  3. Since templates are a thing and duplicating them costs diamonds (which is not a renewable source) I kinda hope that they either make it a renewable source or at least make it a bit easier to find. So, this change is very welcoming to me.

  4. But we don’t want to explore these big caves. They are deathtraps and you so many torches to light up we just want to strip mine. Minecraft is dying hard with every change

  5. So I have an already established world that I would like to take advantage of the diamond increase… Can someone verify or shed some light on the situations that will not be affected on my current world?? I heard you say as long as the terrain hadn't yet been loaded in… Is it loaded in when I'm within a certain distance or is it loaded in when it shows up on my screen?

Either way, it seems like as long as I go far enough away from where I've ever been before I should be able to reap the benefits of the updated system, correct?

  6. We found ~75 embedded in an Iron Ore vein. With Fortune III that ended up with over 150. The problem that we are seeing is -60 – -53 seem to have little or nothing in 5 tries in different locations … but,,, if we dig higher, there definitely is more diamonds on average in a cluster than before. I don;t know if our test strips were unlucky or the age of bottom branch mining is over.

  7. For casual players this is probably a good thing but for long term players who go hard at this game this is probably a ridiculously huge buff that will make diamonds stupidly common after a few hours of getting geared to go looking for them

  8. I'm a pretty new player and this sounds ideal :] I felt a lot of worry about optimizing my mining / playing the villager meta to get diamond tools / having to have fortune on my tools before mining anything. It's not a very fun way to play imo.

I think more common diamond spawns will help a lot with that!

  9. To be honest I think this is a great change! If they are going to make mending and unbreaking 3 harder to get then this is the least they can do. If we can’t fix armour, we can at least easily get more. Just remove the anvil cap and increasing repairing xp costs and it’s perfect. (I still hate the villagers tho)
