If you’re fine with glitches use the Crystal duping glitch
as a journey mode only baby, i see this as an absolute win!

if you are playing on a singular world you could just afk during the night as you sleep and farm mobs

The coingun becomes super viable if you use the good old crystal/monolith duping glitches for a ton of platinum coins. If you don’t do that though, you’re probably better off with anything else
the zenith still outperforms it significantly even with a setup that isn't as optimized, so it's not really true that it can beat the zenith (unless you're comparing it to a zenith with no boosts whatsoever, in that case then it might be possible)

Money is actually not a problem since there are ways to make infinite money
To be fair, if you only use it against bosses it can be pretty worthwhile, specially for a pre-mech weapon.
Plus you'd throw all that money away reforging and you know it…
Lunar flare is also top 10 like 8
weaker weapons are kinda better for the Greedy Ring since its Lucky Coin effect drops coins for every hit rather than kill.
i have 125 platinum coins in my Calamity playthrough and decided to play Ranger, so maybe i could use a ton of copper/silver ones to make this viable lol.
there are now afk farms that generate 1 platinum per second. This weapon is now absolutely busted

And about the coin ammo, you can literally just do the crystal shard dupe for a few minutes, and just sell all of you millions of shards for basically infinite platinum

Now a REAL weapon counterpart for Rangers, Mages and Summoners that are approximately in the same DPS tier as Zenith would be much appreciated.
Melee shouldn't be your only true option if you want to claim your rewards from beating Moonlord and create an overpowered setup.
Zenith is way out of proportion and the worst part is, Relogic seems to have no intentions to ever even out the score.
It's just terrible game design.

Actually this gun is really op since u can do the crystal glitch and get infinity plat so basically u have infinit ammo and a op gun
