Ambience is the last thing this game needs more of
if ducks dont fly i wont be happy, i mean only mob that fly's in overworld are phatoms elays bees an vex. which only nice one that flys are bees an elays so are sky's are kinda empty
I think they should have a crop update . We need some greens in our diet so how about cabbage or lettuce they could also create slugs or snails to eat the greens and then make them collectable so we can feed them to the ducks to breed .
Remember 2019 when we thought a cave update was going to be announced because a villager threw blue redstone in the pillage and village trailer and we all thought it was cobalt?
This whole duck thing feels like that.

Well, the duck would be like frogs or camels – not a vote mob. However! There are the Ducks of Glorantha. Which are basically Piglins but Ducks. No idea what they'd be doing in Minecraft, but that's at least something more mob-votey.

if we get a duck update i want to be able to hitch them to a boat. we could have duck boat races!
I do like ducks, but honestly I don't see them adding them into this game if they're just basically aquatic chickens. I think they would be wiser to add distinct mobs with their own unique functions rather than mobs that look like minimally edited copypastes of another.

That strange article mentions a "Potion of Glowing" at the very end. Hmmm? New potion perhaps? One that can affect light levels, maybe make the player or whatever mob is affected emit light for a little while?
If duck meat is in the game, it needs to be red. Real duck meat is red meat. Also, the duck would basically be a swimming clone of a chicken. I'd like something more exotic.
An ambience update could be cool,

Craft a “Duck Call” and like a Goat Horn you can blow it to summon more ducks into your vicinity to hunt. Place the Duck Call in an Item Frame on top a Note Block to increase the range. Powered by an Observer Clock to auto-play the Duck Call to keep wild ducks near your base, or local lake, for better ambience, like how an Alley will hangout near an auto-playing Note Block

As much as I like the idea of ducks, I would rather something like sharks or crocodiles make being in the water more dangerous cause drowned are too slow
for amience … at first they MUST add birds sounds when u are in a forrest, the sound of the sea when you're on a beach, the wind in the desert and so on and so forth. Saw this in a video with mod. PURE ambience!

What we need, at least a little bit, every update, is:
– a change or update to potions either via a new potion or a new potion type or a new way to use them,
– at least ONE new redstone block
-at least ONE new structure
– eventually a new dimension every 3-5 years or so,
The duck luck (haha I can rhyme) idea feels pretty abstract but it could be interesting if they updated rabbit's feet…

I need the mob vote mobs to be things that are actually useful in some way. Like the frogs, cows, sheep, and chicken. These new mobs need to drop something that could be useful

honestly i hope the mob vote is all hostile mobs. the most interesting thing in minecraft is figuring out how to do your tasks while dealing with the dangers of the minecraft world
