shimmer does work, i found the permanent regen and defense items almost essential to my recent play through

here's a great tip for boss fights: if the projectiles of the boss blend in with the background you can turn off the background in the graphics settings to make it easier on your eyes.
dukefishron is really easy at this point of the game if you use melee with warding accsesories
Calamity adds shimmer recipes, so it's totally fine to spawn it in.
Your wizard should be selling the rod of discord

I'd really recommend the gleaming magnolia for this fight, very strong damage and homing
Shimmer is still calamity friendly. They just moved the rod of harmony to post-game.

One thing I noticed in the fight against calamitas clone is that you had mana sickness the entire time which would have reduced your damage by a ton. You should take breaks from firing sometimes to let your mana recharge naturaly.

hey chippy letting u know the wings in calamity have set bonuses too. u can make cryonic bar wings which will give u a nice boost
You should make some Asphalt since you have the steampunker now to put at the bottom of your usual arena, could help in some cases
The mech bosses appear to have learned some tricks from the exo mechs. Putting them in the evolutionary tree closer together.
Calamity definitely allows shimmer. And you spawning it in is just fair.

FYI I am did infernum not too long ago and for calamitas clone a rod of discord is really helpful in some parts in calamity if you put a wizard in the hallowed he will just sell you one for not that much 😀

while chlorophyte is good I think it would've been easier to use spectre armor against Calamitas
you can craft terraspark upgrades and you should read the wing bonus some of them give more health and some more damage and good work👍

I think shimmer is normal on calamity. I'm currently playing on the zenith seed with death mode and there's a shimmer biome.(I recommend tears of heaven for post Plantera as your magic weapon because it homes like Razorblade Typhoon.)
You could try fighting calamitas clone in hell or brimstone crag. It would drop a item to reduce taken damage when she is defeated.
Chippy, in normal Calamity that fight is still an "eye", Infernum makes Calamitas and her minions more human, and because of that wiki's weapon recommendations are a little off. SHPC's machine gun or Valkyrie Ray will be much better for that fight
