So… I’ve been asked for months to make a guide… and it’s finally here. The video didn’t even turn out to be that great. I really had to rack my brain to explain these niche tips and make sure I didn’t say anything too redundant or obvious… but still ended up doing that a bit. Oh well, perfect is the enemy of good. Does that saying even work here? I apologize for the wait. All I want from this video is for you to have learned at least one or two things, it’d make it all worth it. Regardless, thank you for watching!

  1. Please be gentle. (Well… I have really thick skin if you DO want to rag on me). This video was mainly an experiment and practice for the future… Hope at least a few of you enjoyed it or learned something from it, or both, that would be really cool.

Tips I considered adding in but got too lazy or I was too bad at explaining it or didn't fit or was too common:

    – Play whipless summoner (so you can focus purely on dodging)

    – Focus on movement accessories (magiluminescence + soaring insignia enjoyer here)

    – Play other bullet hells (Touhou and Undertale for example)

    – Join the Calamity No-Hit discord or other communities that chase after Terraria challenges

    – Try Fargo's Hyper Mode and humble yourself

    – Take breaks often, don't be like me and destroy your wrists and fingers

    – Pretend to be good by uploading clips to Youtube in which you cross-mod and use the Soul of Dimensions to make it look a lot cleaner and for you to dodge way easier (be a fraud like that Yardis guy)

I think there might've been more but I may have forgotten them all by now (Despite the video being scuffed as hell, I really did work on this video for a long time)

    Love you guys.

  2. i ve been using w for jump and space since they added rope in terrria in 1.2, i completely forgot they originally were the otehr way around since i did the rebind so long ago

  3. Some of the fun comes from finding whatever suits your playstyle best for dodging. I'm more of a vertical type of guy personally so I've always been using King/Queen Slime's mounts (or other modded alternatives) for fast descents. For me, it really complements the wings' upward acceleration and can make for some interesting boss battles 😀

  4. I would love to know what assesories u use as whenever i play terraria endgame with wings my wings go from 0speed to max instant idk if that a keybind being messed up or not

  5. ohhh so that's how all these people are flying like in touhou! but i'll need to practice with this W key, maybe i should play more touhou on lunatic mode?

  6. Thank you for the tips, playing with my friends and our whole boss strategy is one of us wings it to the other side of the map while the other two attack, die, respawn, repeat.. Maybe I’ll actually be able to just not have to tank every hit now 😭

  7. you seem to have enough experience to answer this question, what would you say the best modded bosses are. not something like echdeath, but something fair but difficult.

  8. rebind jump is….interesting to say the least. I tried it before when doing rev scan attempts, maybe I didn't give it enough time, but it didn't really do much to help. I ended up focusing more on the controls rather than the boss itself.

otherwise, in my experience, the best ways to get better are to practice and to analyze where and why you're dying (and make steps to correct them)

  9. Good video! It just found its way to my feed and I’ve died a few times to vanilla expert mode WoF as melee so lots of room to improve. I have 2 things after watching this video.
    1. Add detail to the terraria world that you’re playing in as the main backdrop of the video. When you showed that course, maybe a graph axis type of wall backdrop, showing distance or even just “please subscribe” in the big stone letters. Maybe a line of blocks that contrast the wall to show your “intended path” through.
    2. I think it would help to show more in game examples. I’ve only played vanilla so I don’t know any modded bosses fwiw. You could show one example from vanilla and one from modded where a different piece of equipment could help dodge a certain attack against eater of worlds, or with practice you can have better movement for the pillars etc.
    Keep it up!
