  1. I really liked the True Excalibur against Plantera when I tried it, the larger radius of high damage and infinite piercing works really well against Plantera's hooks in the second phase.

  2. I don’t understand why there is even need for a comparison at all, the moment you get them you just use them to craft the terra blade, I have literally never used either of these weapons

  3. Having done a melee playthrough after this update specifically to try out all of these new swords, for the very brief period of time that these were the two to use, I also heavily preferred the true Excalibur.

Just mash the left mouse and focus on movement. The projectile on the true Night's Edge was so frustratingly slow.

  4. True Night's Edge has two problems for me: 1. it's not the lag in projectiles, it's the hitbox. I feel like I should be hitting more enemies than I do. 2. Compared to regular night's edge, there's no pierce, making this awful for events, which is what it should've been good for. if there was a nerf to damage, and increase in hitbox and pierce, it would be really fun to use.

  5. always thought it was weird how the true night’s edge, the sword with a very visible green outline and projectile, was crafted with the souls of the mech bosses, while the true excalibur, the upgrade to the sword crafted with mech boss drops, was crafted with chlorophyte

  6. I know your secret, you arent getting away with it MR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you are a vampire and you will NOT!!!! GET AWYA WITH IT!!!!……………………………………. 👿👿👿👿👿👿

  7. I prefer the True Excalibur just cause it feels so much smoother and does more damage. I can just run through and hold down swing and it goes fine, I'll still have True Nights Edge nearby though

  8. In my opinion they both have different roles, but the true nights edge is just kind of bad at its job, with stuff like death sickle out classing it, while true excalibur doesn't really have any competition

  9. true excalibour is better in every possible way and i have no idea why ppl choose true nights edge over TE. fighting moon events and plantera/golem is much easier with TE and TNE dmg just sucks

  10. the true night's edge projectiles for some reason are locked to your character instead of separate from the weapon, so it's harder to aim since you'll make the projectile move away from where you're aiming , not to mention they're slow
true excalibur has that close range thing, but in my opinion it'll get the job done better for most things over the true night's edge

  11. I always prioritized the Excalibur in most if not all cases. I’m really surprised how much more popular the nights edge was. I found it a bit clunky to use with the projectiles and thought it did less damage. Overall, both great swords but the excalibur is my fav

  12. true excalibur is by far the best. because of melee glove stacking the speed and size of this thing go to easily- obtainable super high numbers while the true nights edge isnt affected much.
mid-hardmode(plantera/golem) is a joke with this weapon. true excalibur abslutely SHREDS plantera's second phase, though i will admit for the first phase the true nights edge is better.
the true excalibur's close-up potential is even better than the terra blade in my opinion,

  13. True nights edge projectile should have had infinite pierce, just something about the “hard hitting” weapon both looking smaller visually and falling flat after 4 enemies show up feels weird
