Why is this Terraria weapon so forgotten? The Spectre Staff. In this video, I take a look at this post Plantera magic weapons which is extremely forgotten in the Terraria 1.4.4 update, despite receiving many buffs and nerfs in its lifetime. The question is, why is this weapon the way it is and does it deserve the reputation is has. Today we take a look how its obtainability and performance. Should you get it in your next playthrough? Or stick with the other more popular staffs from the dungeon, like the Shadow Beam staff and the rotten fork? Lets take a look!

I use it when i play mage class
Chik, flamerang, and red rider are probably the most forgotten weapons in the game, and u reading this are probably gonna look these weapons up.
If you can't beat Duke Fishiefishie with your current setup, this + Spectra Armor helm swap can carry u ezpz. I only use this weapon for healing to get Dukebook and toss it in the bin after.
Token boring magic staff dropped super late into the game with slow projectiles when a weapon that drops pre-plantera/golem " duke " does the same job way better. Duke himself is an easy cheese teleporter fight " or a really fun aerial fight if you're inclined to do it legit." Too many of the weapons that drop BEFORE and after you've unlocked the boss that triggers the drop tables for it run laps around it. It needs a projectile speed buff, but even that wont save it from other possible options at that point of a playthrough.
Combine it with the Spectre armor and it’s A tier
I did a mage playthrough a week ago. This staff dropped within five minutes with me farming for ectoplasm for spectre armor. I found it quite useful until I got my hands on the martian blaster, that thing is absolutely busted!
I use to use that in mobile before like somewhere after the removal of ocram it was so rare i remember grinding it for 60 hours just to get it
i spent about 6 hours farming this staff, the ragged casters are super rare spawn xD paired with spectre armor though i feel like this is an awesome item 🙂

Back in 1.2 this was my go-to weapon to beat Duke
Just defeated golem by this weapon
On my first playthrough, I originally threw it away because it was worse when used by the player than when the enemy uses it (ragged caster's version went through walls). However, I never thought how it would be useful above ground lol
Just whack the spectre mask on and youve got an amazing weapon
what mod are you using for those infinite attack speed segments at the end of videos?
in a lot of my playthroughs i actually always go for that casue i love mage and that with spectre armor with the damage helmet is really strong for that point in the game
this is the most forgotten weapon???? I have all 3 of those hm dungeon mage weapons and spectre staff is the one I used most and it also helped me kill lunar cultist super easily by running and spamming homing projectiles
This weapon was the only reason I beat fishron in my mage play through
You don't have to world hop to get a different dungeon wall
All 3 dungeon wall variants are craftable with dungeon bricks so you can craft the kind you want and throw it into shimmer
i used this weapon on my first expert mage playthrough, i got it from my second ragged caster so yeah also paired with spectre armor its amazing

Its Brocken and easy to farm and its a vey good for events and also duke
This has always been a go to for me if I dont have the razorblade typhoon
in calamity mod, or maybe just in general, the spectre staff worked better than any other weapon for deafeting Moonlord
I can never forget this weapon as those ragged casters make me want to violently torture my npcs

It’s so forgotten that it’s just diamond wanx that does more
Specter staff is underrated the only problem is frost moon and pump moon over shadowing it so much it’s ok against duke if you loop duke instead of running it’s good for master mode and ftw temporarily mage weapons but things like inferno fork shadow beam staff can easily get you upgrades like the razor pine which with specter armor is insane dps
