The (possibly) least used weapon in all of Terraria
You can maybe tell from the thumbnail. And no, it’s not the Magic Dagger.
I set the tint to 90% effectiveness – let’s see how many can tell lol.
(The one to the left is the Throwing Knife and the one to the right is obviously the Magic Dagger)

  1. Id say this is not the most obscure. Id say the EXTREMELY rare sword dropped from the Gladiator is definitely the most. Most people if they do manage to get it, by killing a enemy which you wont fight bery often as it can only spawn in underground Marble biomes which are pretty rare already, but also a drop from the Gladiator, which has to SPAWN IN the marble biomes, then you have to kill a bunch to get a rare drop.

  2. You need bad weapons to have good weapons, if all weapons were perfectly balanced then the game would be boring, besides, they see alot more use in medium core as emergency weapons when you need to get your stuff back.

  3. throwing knives make for a decent ranged weapon in preboss stage, keeps the demon eyes away and you dont gotta waste time getting an extra couple veins of the top tier ores

  4. Just tried an only throwable/disposable weapons run (ended at mechs), so I discovered this one for that and I hope they add at least two throwable hardmode weapons, idk, I enjoyed it in some way but they literally struggle with everything post WoF (grenades being the only kinda decent option), I'm not asking for a new class, just a couple of ranger subclass weapons idk something like more knives varieties, ichor, cursed flames, venom knives, that would be cool

  5. I did use them early game.
They're definitely not something to stick to, but when you have the powder and spare knives, there's simply no reason not to upgrade them. They have their place in occasional progression.

  6. i used poison knives a lot in my first journey world while i was building my journey character! since once you have enough of them you can dupe them, i was able to just give myself stacks of 9999 of them, when you dont have to worry about obtaining them in large numbers theyre quite nice for pre-hardmode

  7. I actually used the poisoned knives recently and they were insanely useful against the underground desert enemies when they piled up so i will say they are actually useful

  8. You can find a bundle of 150-200 throwing knives IF you find it in living wood chests.
If you get lucky find that much early on save some for tge brain of Ctulhu phase 1.
Anyone try and tell me hpw it went, it's really efficient in my opinion.
